Been trying WILD for a couple fo weeks now and feel im making real progress and the way i think it will work best for me is after waking up from autosuggestion after about 4 hours i stay still and try and get straight back to sleep, however just as i think im about to enter the dream i get these really strong vibrations running through my whole body and its really offputing , ive tried to wait it out before but it seems to last forever so i end up giving up. Any advice is appreciated , thanks
Those vibrations are a part of the WILD process, caused by sleep paralysis. If you relax and don’t think much about them, they will go away and you will be in a dream. When WILD’ing it’s best to keep any thoughs, especially about WILD, LD, sleep and real life body away. All these thoughs will make you remember your body, that you’re lying on your bed and prevent you from entering a dream. The key is to relax and forget your real life body, while keeping your consciousness. You may do that by just watching the sights you see in your eyes (or the blackness if you don’t see anything). Don’t participate in them too much, watch them like you watch TV, otherwise you may either wake up or lose consciousness. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the reply! It helps a lot , ill try my best to ignore everything.
how long after these vibrations will I be in the dream ?
Hmm, it would probably belong in beyond dreaming, but those vibrations are the beginning stages of an OOBE.
Dazino , this happens to me everytime i try a wild in that way , if I pass it will I have an oobe?
Humm, if you desire to have an OOBE, you ride the vibrations, and will them to increase, not count on them disappearing.
In various mystic sciences, it is believed that the vibrations are caused by your energy body shifting it’s usual vibrational rate, allowing it to release itself temporarily from the physical body and enter alternate realms that exist at higher or lower vibrational states. The vibrational state can also be used as a direct portal to lucid dreams.
If you do actually want this, you’ll experience many strange perceptions before you actually project: bizarre visual phenomena, strong audio hallucinations, usually roaring or screeching, and in some cases, extreme bodily distortions (You may feel as if you are bending and twisting in impossible ways, or that you are falling rapidly.)
Edit: It would be of great benefit to you if you learned to enjoy these vibrations. Fearing them can greatly impede your progress for a long time. Usually, whenever I enter the vibrational state, I become extremely elated; I consider it sort of like a spiritual massage.
Enjoying them will also allow you to influence their arrival and rate. When your body knows you enjoy something it can do, it allows you to reproduce it easily. When you fear it, the mind and spirit does everything it can to prevent the experience from occurring again.
If you have any other questions, I’d be more than happy to answer.
What Dazino mentioned above, happens also when WILD’ing normally. That makes me think that OBE = Dream. You may argue though, but I’m atheist and don’t really believe in spirits leaving one’s body or anything like that.
thanks for the in depth reply! ill try and enjoy them but if im getting uncomfortable with that then surely the disortations and what not will be alot worse ?
paulius i understand theres a fine line between the two and im trying to stay open minded until i experience both and can decide for myself
@Paulius: I have no desire to argue anything, I believe what I believe, and I respect your beliefs. To me there is a major difference, as I have practiced various forms of mysticism, and consider myself able to recognize the differences in energies and areas within dreams and projections. I am not a religious man, and disagree with most religions currently in existence. The spirit is not a religious concept, it is a matter of energy.
@ritchie 222: You are most welcome. On the contrary, if you become overly uncomfortable with them, they will most likely begin to decrease. This does not mean, however, that you will not be able to WILD. I often enter WILD’s without vibrations. The world of dream and energy is a place you should feel comfortable with; while laying down at night, leave all fears and concepts of like/dislike behind. Things will come easier because of it. : )
Thanks again dazino
hopefully ill be able to make the vibrations decrease yet still manage a WILD, and i will definately try and be more comfortable with everything and try and forget about my physical body when i go to sleep now
