Okay so I have been doing autosuggestion every night to wake up after my dreams, then I set my alarm and do WBTB + MILD about 4.5 hours after I fall asleep. When I wake up I try to WILD just because I think WILDing is fun, I havent been actually excpecting to get an LD from it because ive read that its really hard and not for begginers, but last night I made it to where I felt vibrations. I have never felt vibrations before when WILDing, but I have read about them. I didnt expect to get them and they felt really real, so real they woke me up. but my question is was I close to getting a WILD? If I was Im going to start trying WBTB + WILD.
You just got what is known as sleep paralysis. You got pretty close to an LD. All you had to do is do from there is an OBE exit.
For me that’s actually the cue when to enter into lucid dream, so technically you were very close and like Kache said, you just need to do an transition.
Well, sometimes it’s not just transition is THE transition because many dreamers find it very difficulty to do it right. What I usually do is that I left myself fall asleep because in my theory you are almost with one leg in a dream figuratively speaking… And to dream you need to sleep so this is actually the right thing to do…
Try it for yourself and see how it goes. If you made it all the way to vibrations then WILD might be just the tech for you… Good luck!
I acctualy have the same exact problem, or “success” i reach this face where i come to SP, but i have no clue what to do from there, some people just say relax, but it doesent work, i just end up giving up and moving. I really dont understand how to OBE, any help would be gratefull! <3
The same advice is for you.
Why am I doing such a aggressive move like falling asleep? Some dreamers will tell you to observe HI and let them for into a dream. That works but only if you experience them and if you know how much attention put into them.
Also, when observing those HI I think that in some point we fall asleep, to be exact in point where HI becomes a dream. It’s also a transition, I’m letting myself falling asleep consciously and doing this transition on my own will and time, I’m not waiting for dream to form I actually create the dream by doing this…
I find this a great approach When you start out LD’ing most people don’t suggest WILD, yet many beginners try to WILD either way. I don’t think anyone should just stop and not try WILD, but knowing it can be tricky and doing like you are is pretty good. Even if you don’t get a LD from the WILD, just trying in itself can give you many valkuable experiences which will teach you a lot! Plus, if you combine it with other techniques it’s even better. So I say just keep playing around! Have fun!
wow, I thought I was getting close but I didnt realize that I could be that close.
I cant wait to try again tonight.
thanks for all the information.
Okay I have one more question, do you think that It would be possible to combine MILD and WILD, like focus on repeating a mantra and visualising yourself becoming Lucid in a dream to keep you aware, so that If you dont get a WILD you might still be able to get a MILD? Just a thought, I looked through the forums and couldnt find anything like that so I thought I’d ask.
Well, you couldn’t repeat the mantra till you fall asleep or spend too much concentration on it, because you wouldn’t then be able to do WILD.
That’s why it’s combined with WBTB, because in that technique nothing is required of you when you’re lying in the bed, except for maybe thinking about lucid dreaming.
But you could try to reinforce your experience with mantras before you try to WILD, yes
In my opinion you can do that because WILD is a process which is lasting for some time and in that time you can use bits and pieces from each tech’s that you like and like you said maybe if one tech fails other can prevail.
Agree with this… Using more tech’s at once usually needs more experimenting because you by default use more variables in equation…
Okay, thank you guys.
I think Im going to leave combining techs alone until Ive been succesful with them the way they are now.
