I’m having a normal dream. In this dream, i’m trying to sleep and it’s really hard. it’s been one hour and a half just laying there during which i hear all kinds of sounds and normal activity in the house. then i start to feel like my body’s asleep, but i’m lucid. vibrations, weird repetitive sounds and a hallucination of my face beaming on an off very fast. after a few seconds it all stops and now i think i’m finally asleep and about to enter a LD. but nothing happens and after staying still for a bit i realize that actually i’m fully awake.
so basically, i was about to do wild in a dream only to wake up. makes sense? i wonder if this has ever happened to you guys because it was really weird and i’m still not 100% sure what happened.
Yeah, it sounds like you did try a WILD in sleep. The process went as you expected it to, but in the end, for one reason or another, you actually woke up. It could simply be that you were getting near the end of a dream cycle anyway and that’s what woke you up. I also think it’s likely you were so focused on the feelings in your body (dream or otherwise) that it woke you up. In WILD it’s important to try to forget your body rather than feel it.
Anyway, there’s a lot of people that have experienced doing WILD or some other technique while falling asleep in a dream and it lead to an LD. I’ve actually found WILD is easier from within a dream since I don’t have to wait to fall asleep. Now if only I knew how to induce that more often
