last night i had three times i almost had a dream from using WILD. My main problem is after my eyes start to twitch i dont get any realy images. The dots in front of my eyes just kinda swirl around. And i dont know when to stop counting (I use the 1 im dreaming, 2 im dreaming method) Eventually after the dots in front of my eyes have been twirling around my eyes stop to twitch and i jsut have to start over. On my third try of the night i think that i saw stars when my eyes started to twitch like i was looking at the sky. At this point i could feel myself standing up and laying down at the same time. But i didnt know what to do next ad eventually lost it.
Well, I never tried (and probably never will) the WILD method. But I think you should just keep counting and counting, until you there. Just keep fighting it.
i don’t have a lot of experience with LD’s but most of my dreams have been WILD induced so far. I use the counting method too, which seemed to work pretty good for a while. The “keep counting” is actually good advice. What i do is I just count until i forget where I was or my mind trails off. Then I do a reality check. More then often I’ll still be awake… in that case I just start all over again.
Last september (the last time i had ld’s as you can see from my sig) I used that for every LD i had, it was going great (and then university took over and i had no time to sleep).
I do know every one has his own best technique to do WILD but i’ll tell ya mine which is worked for me in my first try.
Just lay down in your back, relax, concentrate in your heart and at the same time start to visualize it; how it is, its shape, color, texture, patterns etc. In a very little time you’ll start to get low vibrations, the beep. After that if you concentrate deeper in the heart and in the “mind” you’ll start to get rapid eye movements or REM.
The thing is to concentrate in something so complex that you can’t get any distractions just because to concentrate on it you have to be very focus.
I usually start getting images after the swirling colors if I don’t fall asleep. If I do it in the morning I usually just fall asleep, but I can mostly get HI when I go to sleep at night. But after I get HI I usually fall asleep after a while unless it’s in the morning, then I zoom into the HI and them I’m in a dream and fully lucid
My first WILD try was yesterday, it was really freaky. I got like this red/orange twirling image in front of my eye while I wasn’t really sleeping. It was so clear . 5 seconds later I started hearing a weird sound in my right ear.
Funny thing was I was still awake.
