Will this interfere with dreaming?

I started school today, which means I have to wake up much earlier than I would during the summer. When I woke up this morning I didn’t remember one dream! That really made me upset. Do you think that the short amount of time that I have is enough time to have a dream, become lucid, and enjoy it? Or is it something I will have to do on the weekends?

you have plenty of time to dream, you may not be getting 6 a night like you would on a weekend, but you would still be getting at least 3 if not 5 dreams a night.

also remember just cause your getting up earlier doesnt mean you cant go to sleep earlier

Yes.
You can have long vivid dreams with only a couple of hours of sleep. people have had hour long LD’s before with only like 30 - 45 minutes of sleep.

Yeah its all worries. I only sleep 5 hours a night and still have very vivid dreams and on random nights a lucid dream. :content: So just chill melow styles  and dont fret, if you worry about it it will be harder for you to remember your dreams and have LDs :om:

also you may not have awkon from a REM period hence the lack of recall, dont stress, just set your clock for 30 min before that timeu woke up or go to sleep 30 min b 4 and you will prob catch a dream which means better recall

The fact that I have to jump out of bed right when my alarm goes off to take a shower and ready myself for school, I feel, impacts my DR.

You’ll get better DR, if you wake yourself up earlier and set aside a few minutes to recollect (and write notes down on) the dreams you had last night…

I’ve been having trouble with remembering my dreams on school days as well. You are still having dreams, though your sudden change in sleeping times might be the cause of your sudden drop in dream recall.

Just try to go to bed a little earlier, or wake yourself up before the alarm. I tend to find that I can remember dreams a lot easier if I don’t get up suddenly with a jolt. That might help a little bit. Also, don’t fuss too much about it and let yourself get used to the change in waking up. Your DR will be back to normal before you know it.
