Glad I could help.
I’ll definetly try willing myself to wake up and WILD tonight. Every night I wake up just a minute before my alarm clock so I think it will work for me
Thx, Darxide… excellent topic!
Darxide, can you give a breif summary of the techniques you recommend… everything is split up between different posts and it’s hard to follow…
from what i can gather there’s a WILD technique where you auto-suggest yourself to wake up at a given time and when you do, you stay still and pretend like you’re spinning around until you enter a dream
there also seems to be one where you just lie down and try to initiate a WILD by setting aside 105 minutes in which your mind will stay awake while your body sleeps and then you spin into a dream
and then another one where you simply auto-suggest that you will have a LD during your first REM after a certain time
is that pretty accurate?
also… last night i was able to get myself to sleep paralysis while i was still conscious, but i couldn’t get anywhere from there… i was trying to do the rolling out of my body technique… is the time when you are in conscious sleep paralysis the time you should try the spinning?
thanks for your help.
Just got done talking to you on AIM.
I do feel this old puppy is worth ressurecting back to the top Some good information in here.
I’ve had one successful LD from willing myself to do it. It wasn’t very high level though. This is the best way to LD, I think. I need to find a way to will myself to do it!!
Thanks for resurrecting it, I was looking for a post on autosuggestion.
Is it possible to ask your mind so that it can wake you up AFTER your lucid dream? Since my recall is really bad, and when i do remember a dream, It’s really rusty.
Would it be sometihng like “Tonight, i’ll have a lucid dream, I will wake up after it has finished”?
or how about “I will wake up after my dream(s)” ?
P.S: DAMN IT! I can’t do that stopwatch thing Ben can! GARGHH!
well i usually have a hard time falling asleep, and I really only want to wake up after my lucid ones.
I’d imagine that’s possible, after all how many times do you wake up just befopre an alarm goes off. Or if you know you need to get up really early you wake up maturally at that time. (This happens to me anyway, even if I have to get up at 3am or something).
However I’d imagine that getting yourself to wake up after a lucid dream is a lot more complex and you’d probably have to be a pretty confident lucid dreamer in the first place. If your not much good at lucid dreaming then getting your mind to not only have a LD, but wake up right after it is probably a very difficult task and your probably better off just improving your recall by keeping a journal or something.
Or you could set your alarm to 5\6 hours after you go to sleep so you wake up abruptly from mid dream, meaning that your probably more likely to remeber it than if you wake naturally-your dream will have ended and you’ll just be in a deeply relaxed state before you wake up.
well
"Tonight, i’ll have a lucid dream, I will wake up after it has finished
I am activly discussing about it to my sub-concious, Like saying ‘Ill have a lucid dream’ it will think ‘hmm okay’ then after i say ‘I will wake up after it has finished’ The ‘IT’ is a lucid dream, so my sub-concious should know which one im talking about.
Hope you understand my good english >.>
okay, I think maybe the key to this technique is keeping the intention of having an LD fresh in your mind, right until you fall asleep. I WILL do this tonight and report back here tomorrow dudes. See what I did there? HA HAHAHAHAH!! I WILL!! ahhhhh…
