Wow.. FLD's aren't nothing !

So yeah last night, I dreamed a FLD
Since i’ve had a break for a couple of weeks, my dream recall isn’t very good.
I remembered EVERYTHING that happenned when I first woke up, like if it had happened in real life, but quickly forgot most of it when writing it, but still, the most incredible moments are still in my memories

So yeah I’m in a school bus, and eventually get in school. I do a nose RC and OMG I’M DREAMING ! In my dream, I knew someone in these forums said that nose RCs were a pretty weird feeling, and I approove ! I feels SOO weird ! So yeah I’m in school, aware that I am dreaming and do stuff which I don’t remember. Suddently, I see a DC which looks a little bit fatter than in real life. I remembered that the forum’s members like to ask DC’s if they know they are in a dream. So I said :

Do you know you are a dream character ?
All I know is that I’m an impression from someone in real life, He said.

I was quite surprised with his answer, but continued the dream. It felt REALLY VIVID. I went to my locker and my friend came, saying she wanted my cookies. I said I ate them, and she started running after me saying that cookies are good for the calories, not the taste. So i tried running away flying. It was my first time and I had no trouble with it (It actually the first time I flew in a dream ever) When I though how much people had trouble with it, I lost a little bit of control but quickly got the hang of it. As I was flying up in the sky looking below, the dream faded and I woke up at the same time.

This dream FELT EXTREMELY REAL, LUCID AND VIVID

The dream really felt like I was living it, instead of just remembering it when I wake up. Also, It had something more to it, I don’t know what but it certainly made my dream different. Also, I was able to think ! In my dream, I was trying to recall who said what in the forums. Finally, when I woke up, it didn’t feel like any other dreams. It just faded slowly to my real body in bed, feeling like I just lived this experience for real.

When I woke up, I tried getting back to the dream, but then though like :
> Why did I… What did… Why the… OH NO D:

I realised that there was too much things missing to be a LD, here are them :

- Why did I stay in school, went to my locker, etc ? Why didn’t I just tried my super powers, which is the first thing I wanted to do in an LD from the beggining ?

 • I did think about the forums, but nothing else !
 • No hands rubbing, no care about the vivdness or anything, no sex craving, no power mood, just ordinary life.

Sorry for the long post. Anyway, it was AWESOME, maybe it’s time for the to stop my break ? what do you think ? Peace !

EDIT - I read about low lucidness, I think that’s what I had !
I mean, The way I woke up from it… the way flying and the Rc felt… maybe I just wasn’t lucid enough to be more aware. I even was afraid to lose lucidity and kept telling myself it was a dream.

Conflagurations! It does sound more of a low lucidity dream (almost all my LDs so far are), but good job nevertheless!

Congrats joyness Panda on your LD.

It sounds just like one of my first LD’s, I also didn’t change scenery, because just like you said, the first thing that we do is see how it’s working all this. I was also thinking about forum, and what should I do, plus I did try plugging my nose and rubbing my hands to achieve more stability in LD. (in this LD I’ve become lucid by watching my hands)

And the thing you said about thinking in a dream… It feels great, when you asking yourself, what to do, how to do, and similar questions… It means nothing else then that you become conscious, and I think that’s the point of LD’s, be able to think, rethink and then act!

Cheers!

Congratulation on your LD panda!

It seems you had some low lucidness

Congrats on the LD! That’s definitely not an FLD. :content: If you realize you’re dreaming, you’re lucid. That’s all there is to it. Being lucid or having an LD isn’t defined by whether you remember goals, or increase vividness, or even change scenes (I’m still horrible at changing scenes, usually I wake up or go into an FA)! What about naturals who don’t do any of that but still have LDs? Yes, sometimes I do things in LDs that I don’t know why I did them. Working with the dream to achieve goals and such is fun too. Personally, I always forget to do things like rub my hands together or spin. I’ve just never felt like it works well for me and that it wastes time and gives me time to forget what I’m supposed to do (bad memory anyone?).

Sounded like a fun dream! Congrats on getting to fly! It’s one of the most natural things for me to do in dreams, NDs or LDs. Keep up the good work!

I remember having a FLD that was really vivid. SO VIVID!

Haha thanks guys !
That just boosted my motivation by at least 300%

Congratz! Keep it going!

Yep LD here! I’m experiencing the same troubles as you. But it can’t be helped before you train yourself. Like Jerome Brunner said “Knowledge helps only when it descends into habits”. Knowing is not enough, experiencing is the way to transform your theoric knowledge into pragmatic one. Sounds to me that you are on the right path, keep going!!!
