What a surreal experience!
It’s actually rather true, what they say… I got my first ld (ever since finding out about this site, I’ve had a few briefly before…) once I stopped trying, … The last thought before I fell asleep was
’ Well… it’s about 2am, I wake up at 7:50… I have about…3…4…5…6…7… 5 hours of sleep… you need 8 hours of sleep a day… is that why I only sleep 3 hours when I nap? 5 hours of sleep… that’s enough for REM… I think-- Zzz ’
I didn’t attempt WILD this time-- didn’t have enough energy…
Hah, Then in the middle of my dream… I did a rc, and sure enough, I went lucid… Weird though, because breathing through your nose while you’re holding it is sort of odd, like breathing through short valves,
I dunno if anyone gets that either…Sad I didn’t get too much control of the dream, I just seemed to be able to control my reactions to the dream itself, I didn’t seem to be able to materialize anything, or change the scene… so I went with the flow-- It was insane!
But the thing is, I didn’t seem to notice after the first bit, weird things… just, I retained the memory it was a dream and nothing could hurt me…I felt obligated to finish the dream, by killing off the evil within it. (didn’t happen, just ended up relaxing on the beach, cause I knew the dream would be over soon and relaxed till I woke up a few minutes later…)
Has someone else ever realised they were lding, but failed to realise odd things happening? How do you tell a lucid dream, from a normal dream ( that just so happens to be about you realising you were dreaming) if you can’t change the enviroment?
~ Anyways, any input would be appreciated.
