Yoga For Lucid Dreaming?

I am a yogi and I was wondering if doing certain yoga poses before going to bed could help you induce lucid dreams. If anyone knows anything about this subject and could help me I would be grateful.

there is always tibetan dream yoga. Although it’s not using poses. They do suggest you sleep on your right side. Like the sleeping buddha.

I haven’t seen much on this forum about Yoga.

I have read theories that LDs are increased by either the throat chakra or the third eye. (I think Cobra and Lion are supposed to help throat chakra.)

Yoga poses that help with these areas may increase LDs. Be interesting to hear from others about their success.

Yoga can certainly help you become more relaxed which can help with WILD.

The Tibetan book of Dream Yoga talks about various sleeping positions, but not regular Hatha Yoga poses.

Maybe you can experiment and tell us what works for you?

Yeah, I think I’ll try that. I will go w/ the WBTB technique, do yoga of course b-4 going back to bed for maybe 15 mins or so and try WILD or whatever. It would be interesting to see what happens. Shall post soon. Thnx.

I am a yogi as well.

As far as I have noticed, yoga and energy work opens the chakras gradually so that as a byproduct of the practice, you may lie in bed and have an easier time having very high levels of energy flowing, which can then be useful in training for WILD.

I would not imagine per se that you could simply do a particular pose before bed and have lucidity. My understanding is that shoulder stand is good for the throat chakra and cobra is for the heart.

The most useful tool for lucid dreaming is concentration and if one is good at meditating one can meditate while falling asleep so as to remain as aware of the transitionary period as possible, making lucidity much more likely.

But it doesn’t seem like any pose in particular would help, just that the process of cultivating energy would regardless of what poses you do.

Does anyone dream about yoga or do yoga in their dreams?

Okay, I did try yoga along w/ the WBTB technique. If you are an insomniac like myself, then for the love of God do not do this technique. I did it and could not get back to sleep at all that night, and I woke up and 3:00 AM! Anyway, it didn’t help w/ WILDs. It was worth a shot though.

The other day I did a little yoga. Also I killed myself on the exercise bike. Maybe I did other stuff too but, in the end I had two lucid dreams that night.
