Your Age By Chocolate Maths

This is undeniably cool. It’s worth actually working out, it takes less than a minute, and it really works. Just be careful not to read the end before you should!

  1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have
chocolate. (more than once but less than 10)
2.Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold)
  2. Add 5. (for Sunday)
  3. Multiply it by 50 I’ll wait while you get the calculator…
  4. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1754… If you
    haven’t, add 1753…
  5. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born. You should have a
    three digit number…

The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many times you
want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are … YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2004) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.

Or just add 1755 next year.

Nice one  I wonder who creates this stuff. It must take quite some brainstorming before you get something useful…

:cool_laugh: thats brilliant

hehe that’s funny.

wow. that’s all I have to say. Wow.

Who creates these things?

Yeah, it is pretty good, but i have seen this type of thing in previous years with the numbers changed.

Wow,that is cool as heck.

Very cool stuff, i love these type of math thingies, so can i ask? Where did you find this or how did you come up with this???
Cool stuff

Heheh, my dad sent it to me. Apparently it’s been circulating the university where he works…

HOW DOES THAT WORK?

  1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have
chocolate. (more than once but less than 10)
    x

2.Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be bold)
    2x

  2. Add 5. (for Sunday)
    2x+5

  3. Multiply it by 50 I’ll wait while you get the calculator…
    100x + 250

  4. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1754… If you
    haven’t, add 1753…

    100x + 2004
--> or 2003, depends on added number

  5. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born. You should have a
    three digit number…

100x + 2004-(2004-age)

= age + 100x (x shifted left by two places)

I just like math

I envy people like you, pav.
