What do you feel best describes Astral Projection & You?
Never Tried It, Don’t want to.
Never Tried it, but want to.
Tried it once or twice, but never worked.
Only Ap’d once or twice, didnt want to again
I am AP every now and then
I am an AP guru!
I think AP is just a modified state of conciousness similar to LD.

I am sceptical of AP. I am one of those people who believe that it is all internal, kinda of a meditation style waking lucid dream.
I would like to gather up some info on everyones expiriences regarding Astral Projection:
If you define AP as OBE, then you should probably know by know that Im of the opinion that most of not all of these experiences are internal, dream related events. That’s why I voted the last option.
I could have replied “Tried it once or twice, but never worked”, but I’ve replied “I think AP is just a modified state of conciousness similar to LD” because it describes best what I think.
I believe “astral” and LD’ing to be the two opposite sides of the same experience. Moreover, I would not use the term “astral”, because if makes reference to a system which is, IMO, absolutely unsound, at least because of the two following reasons:
LD’ing may explain “astral projecting”, but recent “astral” theories don’t integrate LD’ing.
the first astral projecters (like Muldoon) believed that “astral is the realm of dreams”. Thus they didn’t see any difference between what is now called LD’ing and astral. This so-called difference appeared in the 1990’s.
i have tried to astral project many times but becuase i was so scared to go from my wakeing body to astral i trying useing the tech where i was haveing a LD and saying the famous “im floating up” line and image your slef leaveing your body. Well each time let me tell ya. my dreams are very defence i am often met up with many “barriers” i should say.
If you’re referring to OBE, then thats me! But there’s a problem, due to my ametur ability, I’ve only been able to reach the mind-body discennection state, or state of paralysis. I can never bring my “spirit” or mind to leave my body. It hurts m body, as well as produces this screech in my ears that is unbearable. So instead, i focus on a small part of my body, like a finger or to and constantly try to move it. Once my mind reestablises that connection to my body, i gradually incorporate other parts of my body to move. First I start with small movements, then I eventually end with large movements like shakeing my entire body. This method reduces the screech noise, paralysis, and pain. Eventually my body is conscious, just like my mind.
The Astral plane is a great place to explore yourself and your surroundings.
You can get there through a normal dream (if you aren’t there already) or you can get there through a projection into it from your physical body.
I have had about… not sure… maybe close to 100 concsious projections into the Astral plane in about 15 months or so.
Had most of them in the first 6 months.
I too was also scared to let it happen. Mainly because right before I felt that I was leaving my body I had a dream in which some shadow was following me and when I looked back, no one was there. Then I realized I was awake and still doing wild, while focusing on the third eye. Then I felt like I was travelling really fast until I ended up in my room, and I was floating down to the ground. But I desperately tried to wake up because I was really scared.
I’ve only had one AP, but it was quite easy to get. All I did was go into deep meditation and after half an hour or so I started floating out of my body, and I flew through the ceiling into the astral planes (read my dream diary from the actual accout). Though it usually takes most people monthes to do it, I did actually step out of my body quite quickly.
I don’t think you could possibly understand just how much I envy you. I’ve recently become interested in AP, and although I have been trying very hard for a while, I still haven’t had much luck when it comes to leaving my body.
