2006 FIFA World Cup Germany

I agree with that statement as well. Great minds think alike eh?

Today:

Serbia & Montenegro - Netherlands (omg haxx! 2 vs 1  )
Mexico - Iran
Angola - Portugal

Mexico - Iran might be quite interesting, but up next is Serbia & Montenegro - Netherlands -> Hup Holland Hup \o/
Angola - Portugal -> Will Angola pull of a stunt like T&T, or will Portugal win with big numbers?

OMG, I go to school for a bit and this topic dies ;_;

Well, today…
Ecuador - Costa Rica

Paraguay - Sweden

Trinidad & Tobago - England

England seem to have Rooney back, even so will Trinidad & Tobago be able to pull of a stunt again? (I sure hope they do, no offense to England supporters btw; I just think it’s amazing what Trinidad & Tobago did in their game against Sweden, ^^")

Ecuador - Costa Rica : Ecuador AND Costa Rica need 3 points to have a chance of advancing to the next round…

Paraguay - Sweden: Same goes for them, (Sweden 1 point, Paraguay 0 points).

Previous matches (Not all of them :content: )

SPOILER - Click to view

Germany - Poland 1 - 0; typical German play, winning at the very last moment -_-

SPOILER - Click to view

Tunesia - Saudi Arabia 2 - 2; Tunesia dominated the first half, Saudi Arabia made 1 - 1 and put in Al Jaber, who scored 1 - 2, the first time he got the ball… o_o, then in injurytime, Tunesia made 2 - 2; if they want to advance they have to beat the Ukraine… (I don’t think they’re gonna win against Spain).

I’m not saying anything about Spain - Ukraine AND France - Switzerland, theres much to say about the matches, but I’m not doing it…

SPOILER - Click to view

Brazil - Croatia 1 - 0; If Brazil keeps playing like that, they won’t be world champion, not in a 1000 years, and I hope for Brasil that Ronaldo won’t start next match, Ronaldo got substituted by Robinho, who did a hell of a lot more in 5 minutes than Ronaldo did in (60?) minutes…
Kaká scored the only goal for Brazil by the way…

I’m so looking forward to the match between Trinidad & Tobago and England =D…

Trinidad & Tobago - England: 1 - 0

No one seems interested =|?

match of the day (and only 1 match has been played yet):

Argentina - Serbia & Montenegro

SPOILER - Click to view

Argentina - Serbia & Montenegro; 6 - 0, I think the score says it all, Serbia’s Kezman got a red card in the second half as well, at that time Argentina had a 3 - 0 lead…

I still read it, but I don’t think I have anything interesting to say.

Tonight Holland =D
Maybe I’m even going to watch it or I’m forced too.

Trinidad & Tobago - EnglandI’ve only seen a bit from it, but I thought they were both not playing well at all. When I later told this to my father he said they must have played horrible if even I noticed it =P
But then again I thought someone did a really stupid action while it was in fact a very good action. Let’s say I was just watching a few secs and I mixed up the goals.
Netherlands - Côte d’Ivoire - H/T2 - 1 ; Van Persie (free kick; 1 - 0), Van Nistelrooij (2 - 0), Boka (2 - 1)
After the 2 - 0 the Dutch team started to lean back on their defence (which is not good), and because of that Côte d’Ivoire started to get more chances…
In the second half Van der Vaart and Boulahrouz (both HSV) will probably get in…
:truit: fadem… check your spoiler tags before you post

I was very surprised by the Ghana team. They are playing very well! It’s a very hard group between Czech Republic, Italy, USA and Ghana!

I’m rather disappointed by Costa Rica. I was expecting very much more from them. On the opposite, Ecuador are very strong. :eh:

From what I’ve seen, I don’t think that France and Portugal can go very far in this tournament.

And as usual, the referees are awfully bad.

They should make a referee team, and i hope they win. EVerybody hates the refs, but they need some loving too  :cookiemon:

God i love posting that smiley, it doesnt have anything to do with anything. lol, cookie monster. They need a cookie monster team also, and tehy will go head and head witht he refs, but of course the refs would win, since c is for cookie, not the c’s in SOCCer. ITs simple logic folks…

I lol’d when Italy accidentally made a goal… ON ITSELF!! MWAHAHA!

cough I’m done.

Me too

I really dislike Italys way of playing , always falling , bothring, that red card.

USA SHOULD HAVE WON !

I completley agree. However, you have to admit at first…USA was playing awfully bad fouling a lot of people. Italy panicked and rushed whilst USA took their time and occasionally sprung for the goal getting very close results…closer than Italy.

I am very disapointed and i am positive that Italy will not win if they continue playing like this.

You have to admit that in that game, those two US players probably didn’t deserve those cards…

Are you guys watching the game? That criminal kicked Ronaldo in the knee then elbowed him in the stomach and didn’t even get a yellow for that!

A guy like that should be forbidden of even playing football! Abyssmal! I wasn’t supporting Brazil so far, and to some extent, I still am not, but after seeing this I hope Australia doesn’t even make it to the second part of the cup. It was criminal, offensive, we could have lived without something like that.

WOW Portugal is on fire!!

Did you see that beautiful goal!

Go Figo!! Go Christiano Ronaldo! Go Deco! And everyone else

I predict that one of 4 teams will win:

Germany
Brazil ----- (Hope Not, No offense to Brazillians)
Portugal
Argentina

nu! go holland! gives wissam a orange wuppie

SPOILER - Click to view

what a terrible match. I’m happy holland didn’t win, it wasn’t a fair match. What a fights, bah :meh:
Portugal - Holland What first started as an amazing match became a bloody war! Fouls, Fouls and more Fouls! Fighting and Pushing!

Figo - What was that? The Headbutt? How dare you?

Deco - You have no damn right to grab the ball whenever you want?

As for the Netherland player :: Come on, why all the pushing and the shoving! That was a beautiful game at first why ruin it. Lol, i liked how at the end, the camera shows Deco and another Netherlandish player talking to each other as though they are friends
.
Is it me, or does Kuyt look like he was made out of wax?

I wached it too. It was little more kickboxing, not a football. In one moment i was sure that referee has lost a red card. But he found it.

BTW: I think that spain could win a this WC. What do You think ?

Deco and Van Bronkhorst play together with Van Bommel at Barcelone.

They were probably sharing their impressions about their red cards.
After Netherlands-Ivory Coast, another incredibly violent game by the Netherlands team. Congratulations though to Kuyt and Robben who were the only ones who try to kick the ball instead of the portuguish players legs.
16 yellow cards and 4 red cards! I never have seen this before. Netherlands totally ruined the game with violence, unfair play and simulation. About simulation, I found they were rather young and unexperimented thus it was very kind to Figo to show them how to do and to gave them a masterful lesson. :gni:

They can win easily France in quarter finals, IMO but I don’t see them winning this WC.

/me wants a orange wuppie too. It can talk all the day with my pink wuppie which is already on my PC screen.

I love them! (like everybody else =P)
I have a red, white and orange one on my computer right now ^^
Since I’m supporting Switserland, because I feel the most connections with that land, they can see, the colors match.
And Basilus, our wuppies look cooler  =P

I only saw the last 6 minutes or something, and the thing afterwards…

I was talking with my sister - before seeing or hearing anything about the match besides the fact that it was 1-0 for Portugal - that football is turning into wrestling. If someone almost scores they tackle them, just because they don’t score. Where are we going then? This is football, not some kind of wrestling game!

As what I’ve heard and seen it was not only the Netherlands who ruined the game with violence, unfair play and simulation. Well that’s probably because I live in the Netherlands and they show it the other way around… Furthermore I’ve heared that the referee didn’t do it that well either… but well I live in the Netherlands so it’s probably tinted in the way the Netherlands come out the best… (un)conciously…

French news (and me) think the referee did rather well his job. It was an awful game and it’s certainly very difficult to referee in such conditions when everybody play violently or simulate offenses all the time.

Figo should have got a red card too because of his gesture against Van Bommel indeed.

Naw! It’s because of the bad photograph. My wuppie is über kewl.
 Yes, yours looks cooler indeed, especially with its little antennas.
