2006 FIFA World Cup Germany

As far as I know Ivanov is Russian, and the ref. in Germany - Italy was Mexican =X.

The ref. was ok too, he didnt hand out too much yellow cards (like giving one for each bad tackle or sliding). The way its supposed to be, seemed like a clean match to me ^^"

Italy - France E/T 1 - 1; Why on earth did Zidane gave the headbutt o_0 He got sent of with a red card now

Avanti, Italia!

/me :hugs: il loro professore :content:

/me goes back to studying Pre–Collumbian civilizations

Wow, Italy won! Who knew they’d win, out of all the teams?? I thought Brazil or Germany would win… but not Italy. But oh well, congratulations to them! They did good! :cheer:

Aww, they look so happy winning the world cup… :content:

CAMPIONI DEL MONDO!!!

/me parties like a mad man

 :cheer:  :cheer:  :cheer:

This is there fourth time winning… This is bad for us Brazilians. We need to keep are title. Congrats on Italy though. I hate the French since this is the 2nd time we lost to them. Surprised no once said anything about Zidiane’s headbutt…

Now I feel really ignored T_T

I was supporting France, but congratulations Italy on winning the World Cup ^^

Nice job italy. I doubted you the entire time :puh:

I feel deeply disappointed when I read your words. I hope you don’t really mean what you said and that your tactlessness is only due to your lack of mastery in the english language. And about Zidane, Fadem posted something few messages before yours.

Anyways…

It was a pleasant match cause both teams tried to play and didn’t stay on their positions. I found that it was quite confused though (but it was perhaps because two friends of mine were competiting with the TV speaker to say the most idiotic comments  ).

I’m even glad for the french team cause I didn’t expect them at any moment to reach the finals. On the other hand, i’m a bit sad for Zidane because of his stupid reaction. Though I’m wondering what Materazzi told him to make him so upset, I believed he was experienced enough to not react in such a idiotic way and, what is most important, not to end his career on a red card.

Anyhow, let’s forget this sad image and I hope that it will be a great feast in Italy! Both team played as well and it was logical that the result was decided on a penalty shootout. Italy did a great job in this whole World Cup. Congrats TooGoodToBeTrue (and to all the italian members) and have a great party!  :cheer:

And it’s perhaps better that Italy won cause it will be more quiet when I’ll visit Tuscany this summer! :gni:

These are the right players for Italy, after some games I felt they could go far. Italy in 2002 just wasn’t right. This is the team I want to see.
France has been a really tough opponent, they have been dangerous for the whole game. They put up a really great match.
Also, Italy has lost at penalty shootouts quite a few times before, even at the finals, so some were afraid they couldn’t do it. But again, these are the right guys!
Yeah, they were really happy! Totti wore the flag as a hood, Materazzi wore that big hat and put it on the cup, Gattuso slapped the coach, Grosso cut Camoranesi’s hair! Man, what moments!

Bruno…I Bow down to you, you were true from the start.

I was supporting France, i was disgusted at Zidane after that headbutt. It was funny watching the Italian team, jump around in happiness

I guess they did deserve it and the good thing about France losing, is that i got to sleep properly, here in Nice, France

Just a last thing: I’m very happy for Genaro Gattuso who was my favourite player during this World Cup. This guy really loves playing football and I really enjoyed to see him in the many games he played this year. :yay:

Uhm I don’t know if this is true but

“Zidane said that the Italian player called his mother a prostitute.”

That would have been really foul play by him (I forgot which player received the headbutt) then…

I was suspecting something like that when I saw the slow motion replay. Anyway, it didn’t change anything to the game cause both teams were exhausted and could no more score a goal.
