Bruno are you crazy??? Yea usually Italy are quite a strong side but so far in this World Cup, theyve been pretty lame. They DREW WITH THE UNITED STATES!!! Thats just embarrasing. I think Basilus has it about right. But ya never know, the Ukraine might surprise us, considering the way Italy are playing.

May I remind you that this group was probably the strongest with Ghana and Czech Republic and USA? I even expected the USA to qualify. So that we can’t deduce from these results that Italy were not good, they have a very strong defense indeed. Moreover, do you really remember this game against USA? There were lots of yellow and red cards and the result is mainly due to the referee.

Germany won! 
(I was for Germany). It was a great game though there were rather few occasions for scoring and very good defenses which overcame the attackers. The goals were splendid. Too bad for Argentina that they tried to kill the game, playing for time and defensively once they scored: they had the possibility, due to their incredible technical level, to kidnap the ball like they did in the second part of the first halftime. It was obviously an error of tactics. Germany, though they were less good technically, played very courageously - as they use to - and they were rewarded for their wilful behavior!

Italy-Ukraine
[spoiler]Apart from Shevchenko who struck a beautiful 30-yard free-kick and eliminated two italian defenders with a somptuous dribble with pivots (?), Ukraine looked like powerless while facing Italy.
Italy has definitively the best defense of this World Cup, with Cannavaro, Zambrotta, (Nesta if he recovers from his injury) and its goalkeeper Buffon. Add to this Genaro Gattuso, one of the world best defensive midfielders who recuperates plenty of balls. During this competition, the only one goal against them was scored by their own team. Their defense is perfectly organized, it’s a pleasure to see them.
They play very defensively, as usual, but once they are in the opponent’s penalty area, they become killers. Thus I think the winner of the semi-finals Germany-Italy will win the World Cup.[/spoiler]

Ghana, Czech Rep. and USA!!!??? They’re some of the weakest teams in the Cup! Wot are you talking about mate!!!??? And that group was far from the strongest. Groups B, C, and F were all MUCH stronger than group E. And ya I remember the game, cards all over the place, but most of them were deserved and the ref wasnt biased against a particular team. The ref had nothing to do with the outcome. Neither team was playing by the rules so you can’t go pointing fingers at the ref.

Congratulations, guys! Shame Brazil did this ugly game, I’m sure you could have won a much prettier one and thus be sure it wasn’t only their awful lack of anything we call football and talent, but also the presence of that in your team.

Brazil vs France 1-0 to France! I can’t beleive it, France did it!! Amazing game! France played like it should! I am so happy! GO FRANCE! .
Did anyone see the England v. Portugal match? It’s good to see England beaten (sorry England fans) but it is kind of a shame to see it be decided on a penalty shootout.
I’m no football fan but penalties need to be removed from the World Cup. It should be decided on skill and endurance not blind luck.
I agree. The players put in a lot of hard work and effort, just for it to be put to waste.
[spoiler]It’s incredible! They did it! France won Brazil 1-0. I can’t believe it. France played the most beautiful football they ever played since many years. Technically and strategically, it was perfect. We have seen the greatest Zidane, he was somptuous; Malouda, Ribery, Makelele and particularly Sagnol and Vieira were very good.
Brazil made a huge defensive error which allowed Henry to score the goal. In the Brazil team, Ze Roberto was very good, defensively and offensively. By chance, Juninho didn’t strike his free-kicks as well as he uses to do at Lyons. But Ronaldinho was not very good and Ronaldo was imprecise, so that Brazil counterattacks, which they based they play upon since this WC beginning, were weak. And when they tried to increase their level of play, they faced a very solid defense and didn’t manage to create any danger (though there was much suspense until the last minute).[/spoiler]

A player gets tackled (not fair tackle) he doesnt land on or get touched in any ways on his knee.
hen he acts like his knee is really hurting.
When the judge bllows the whistle he gets on his feet again quickly.
That kind of playing make me feel bad , its not fair , its not showing football skills, it is just idiotic !

Uninteresting match. Both teams were paralyzed by stress and didn’t play. I didn’t watch the end of the game: into the TV, some people wearing white or blue clothes were walking quietly along a sort of park planted with grass; the cat was chasing dream mice for a long time, my father was snoring like a locomotive 
and even Jürgen Klinsmann, the german coach, was rubbing his eyes in order to not fall asleep. 
The judge was obviously for italy he didnt call around 10 offisedes for tialy and didnt call 2 penaties for germany… this was the same judge as Portugal vs Netherlands… he was supposed 2 be fired… you guys be the judges…
I personally think the game was clean.
