I have seen this on commercial and wonder if this is international.
What Im talking about is that during one hour saturday the 28th march all electric systems are gonna shut down. I wonder if this is gonna affect ld4all

And Kitty, it’s nothing to panic over. Or even to think they are trying to make us panic. They just want to see if for 1 hour. We can save some energy to prove a point. Wake up.

Yes I saw the commercial. It was a car insurance commercial. Saying that WWF was doing an awareness broadcast. Phrasing it as “Giving our Earth a break.” And Kitty, it might not seem like much. But if it is international, then we can do alot of good. People have such a little idea of their impact on the planet. From plastic bottles, to cell phone towers. Almost as little a clue as Lucid Dreaming. Which is almost scary. I do agree, we need to stay conscious about “Mother Earth”. Turning off lights for 1 hour. Won’t do much. It’s the seed thats being sewn in peoples heads. It’s the awareness factor, as much as saving energy.

When you say WWF, do you mean the Wrestling federation? Personaly I see nothing wrong with shutting power down for an hour. I think it should be done every week. It could be called the accoustic hour. Imagine it may speed up the process of healing the planet, if people dont freak out.

Now multiply that by MILLIONS…
Its nice with all replies to this thread adn I agree that there are lot of energy wasted in the world.
Of course this will help, this shows the world tht we DO care, but I agree to you that once in the year is nothing, they should have it once in the week instead

this is a very good idea, because it is not about saving energy at all, it is about saying collectively that we wish to exert profound changes
the impression that this was solely an economic experiment in saving energy for a day mislead me ,
