I’ve been involved with lucid dreaming for a little while now, but it has always been off and on. I’m not very good and keeping a flexible schedule. I apologize ahead of time if there is a forum known for this topic, I spent a couple of minutes checking and didn’t find any so bear with me.
Anyways, onto my problem; I continually manage to fall into dreams, and perform my hand reality check, the one where you look at your hands and finger, and it has yet to fail at helping me realize that I am dreaming. After I get to that point of realizing that I am indeed a dream, either by another check (typically breathing through a plugged nose) or else by admiring my hands a bit longer, I’ll continue to try and focus my whole dream but I can’t seem to get passed a certain blue and purple haze that kind of blots my peripheral. My head also feels cocked back looking up and I can’t bend it forward to look straight ahead unless I use my hands. I also seem kind of confused but aware at the same time. I’m able to think of what I should do, and give myself advice while not getting worked up and overly excited; however, I’m incapable of creating a solid realistic version of the dream I was in. I’ve tried rubbing my hands together, spinning in place (does looking up help at all?), as well as yelling out “increase lucidity now” and none have yet to work. Rubbing my hands together slowly but only slightly pulls my dream into focus, never far enough.
