This is a problem that I have in LDing from time to time, and its a problem that I dont know how to fix.
If you look with your eyes to your left or right, or just with your peripheral vision, you can see your nose and perhaps the edge of of your face.
When I randomly do this in a LD, when I start looking foward again, I can still see my nose and face. It doesnt go away no mattter what I do. Sometimes it just goes away by itself after a while.
This happened the worst ever last night. I was in a LD, and I was wearing a baseball cap. I looked up, and my view was 90% brim of the cap and about 10% what was happening. When I looked back down, it was stuck like this.
NOTHING I did would get rid of it. Absolutely nothing. Getting rid of the hat, closing and opening my eyes, spinning around, shaking my head, nothing.
Anybody have any ideas, does this happen to anybody else?
oh trust me, iv tried. one time i had to pretend i had eyes in the top of my head, and then i had a screwed up view as well, i was looking up at the sky and i still couldnt see properly.
tried everythin, closin my eyes and thinkin WHEN I OPEN THEM IT WILL BE NORMAL VISION, but it doesnt work.
It really is just all in your head. It could be your SC trying to tell you something symbolically, and perhaps that’s why it’s so tough to get off.
But to answer your question, just try a bunch of tricks. Try to tear it off, take it off, erase it with the back of your hand, ask it to leave, etc. But IMAGINE IT HAPPENING. You have to picture what it’d be like for the thing to be gone.
Once,in an LD, I couldn’t see with my left eye, and I couldn’t remove what was bothering me. When I woke up, I realized my pillow was covering my left eye.
But in your case, i don’t think it is something external that bothers you, so… I don’t know.
One time my eye was closed a the start of a WILD, so I opened it, and I saw my ceiling instead of the dreamscape, so i quickly shut it. I then waited a bit until I was sure to be fully immersed in the dream, than opened it in the dream.
