After almost one month precise, when I joined this forum and started trying, I have a few questions. On the first day I saw on 9gag a post about it (some of you have read it too ): I found it very interesting. That night I was trying WILD and I don’t know for sure how far I came.
First time (on the first day I read something about it)
I was going to bed that day around 11:40 pm and I was very sleepy. Lying perfectly still and after a while there happend just nothing, so I decide to watch to the clock and saw that it was around 00:20 am. So I tried the process again and begun dreaming (I think). I saw me on different locations in school first (like I was looking at photo’s very close) and after that I saw me on a picture walking in school. The sides were black, but the picture was very clear and I saw people moving and it looked like the sides (black) begun to dissepear. At that moment I was thinking: ‘huh, I’m not at school?? This must be a dream!’ Directly after that I was awake and a few moments later I heard a very loud noise. I was afraid (thought of ‘SP scary creatures’ on the first day) and me body begin to shiver and I was not able to stop it or control it. Few seconds later stopped it and nothing happend anymore. So I decide to watch at the time again and saw that it was now around 0:45 am. I wanted to try again, but nothing happend anymore (like the first try that night). Around 1:40 am I decided to go to sleep.
Almost every night I was trying to do WILD and sometimes other techniques. I read every day before I go to bed about lucid dreaming . I had some perfect recalls of dreams. At last I do sometimes on daytime RC’s and think where I am now, where I am going to and where I was.
Second time
A few day’s ago I was trying again and there was no result. I awake that morning and had 2 hours left of time when I need to be awake (schoolday). So I tried to WILD (again…) and I was not able to fall asleep (however I was a little bit sleepy). So after 40 minutes or so I decide to lying on my side try to sleep (doing no technique). After a few minutes I was thinking I saw an hanging lamp in my room on the ceiling (like I was looking from my eyes) and it become slowly clearer. I had the feeling to do a RC and I tip my noise very quickly (I wanted to check I could breath, so little bit of fail) like teleporting my hand. And I feel my hand landing on bed again. I had the feeling I was not lying on my side anymore and was still trying to do WILD (so I thought I was doing WILD right and I was needing to stabilze the dreamarea). So I had the feeling that I need to stay still on my bed and let everything become clearer. After a few moments I saw more and more (more detail etc). When suddenly I thought everything looks so real like 3D. Everything turns like 3D at that moment without the glasses, so I saw green and red things (like watching a 3D movie without the glasses). I did not know how to fix that and become stressed and directly after that I become awake.
So my questions are, after one month of trying:
- Was I lucid (even it was just a few seconds) for that two moments? And how became I lucid; what kind of technique?
- I have the feeling that time passes very quickly when I try to do WILD. I have a clock make a ‘tik tak’ sound and it seems it pass more quickly too. Is that normal?
- I have the feeling that I can still move after 20 - 40 minutes perfectly lying still, and I know I can (I tried it). However my body feel numb and have the feeling that some fingers are hovering. I tried to push it down and it take some time, but on a sudden moment I was feeling my bed again. But some fingers I still feel my bed. So how close do I am to SP?
- Sometimes I think I see colors or something in my eyes. I want to make the shapes and colors look clearer. And then my eyes make itself open. So I tested it a little more and when I was feeling I did SP right (and saw colors) I was not sure how to look at it. Do I look at it with my eyes or with my mind (think about it, like a eye in your mind or so)?
- This night I tried to do WBTB so I set the timer. First at all I was not looking precisely at the remcycles. So my timer went off when I was dreaming… However I was so sleepy and bored that I decided to go to bed again after a few minutes instead of staying up for 30 - 40 minutes. So I tried to do WILD and time passes quickly again (heard the curch bell making a sound when it was 05:00 am). I was awake for around 35 minutes. But nothing has happend after trying WILD. I decide to try it on my side and I was asleep (no dream, nothing then just sleep). So maybe it was smarter to try longer? Or I have to stay up for 30 - 40 minutes? Is it possible to sit behind a computer to read about LD?
- What are the REM-cycles when you go to bed at 00:00 am? When I had once a nap my eyes where moving fast (left - right, up - down) - however I was not able to sleep. So if REM occurs are you sleeping at that moment or not?
Few notes I think I need to mention:
- I can’t become easily fall asleep, but when I already had some sleep I can sleep for a very long time (over 12 hours).
- Normaly I go to bed very late (on schoolday’s around 02:00) and getting up early ( at 05:30 to go to school). On most of the days I feel me very sleepy and go to bed for 30 minutes - 2 hours of sleep when I’m back of school (nap). In the weekends I can sleep very long however I go to bed sometimes later (around 04:30am).
- I have melatonin for a few years, but I stopped last year because I was feeling to sleepy on school. Is it smart to take them again?
- Since I’m trying to do LD I want to get earlier to bed.
- I think WILD is a cool technique and because the first time succeeded (I think) I even like it more. However it is difficult and you need the right conditions.
I’m very motivated after one month and really want to learn it. Hopefully you can help me! If you know just one question, answer it! Why I asked this so late (one month after first attempt) is because I don’t know I was still motivated and how everything works.
And sorry for my poor English and for the long post
