So I came across the LD topic almost a week ago…
I’ve had many dreams were I realize I’m dreaming, but I never really tried to change what went on in them
So I tried WILD this week and couldn’t feel my body / heard couple hallucinogenic sounds… but I pulled out from it (it was pretty freaky and I became anxious), and am going to try it today at a friend’s house.
Also, I’ve been trying WBTB all week. I’ve been logging all my dreams on my computer right after I wake up, and now I have more dreams (at least I remember more) than before I was logging. Today when I was dreaming, the idea of LD was in my head during some of my dreams, and once I questioned one of them - was on my bike riding to school but i couldn’t reach a decent speed - so I was like “Wait, this happens in dreams… but this can’t be a dream!”
dont worry man, just keep trying.
I congratulate you on realising you were dreaming - at any time you realise you are dreaming, tihs is lucidity. I have yet to have a proper lucid dream, but am still trying.
It definitely requires perserverence and i think that you just need to keep trying.
But well done for what you have achieved so far, just keep persevering!
as soon as you realise you are dreaming, use techniques such as rubbing your hands or spinning on the spot
I so know what you mean.
I’ve only had a few LDs but 3 of them have been in the last 2 weeks. Its usually involves me about to do something and then i get his feeling and realize i’m dreaming, but then i just carry on and the LD fades to black.
What i don’t get is why doesn’t anything get clearer?
well I had a lucid(ish) dream yesterday. I tried getting in through WILD, but It turned out to be a DILD. After a somewhat long series of dreams (all connected) I found myself biking to my old house in the morning. Like before, I noticed how my speed was capped so I tried to do the nose pinch RC. (which I had only started using that day lol). I noticed I could breath kinda, so I tried it again and I was able to . At that point I was pretty sure (though not 100%) sure it was a dream. So the first thing I tried was one of those matrix type flips. It wasn’t exactly graceful, but I still couldn’t of done it in physical reality. So then I tried changing the sky color to black, which didn’t seem to work, and then I woke up. Still, I’m getting closer now
You’re not getting closer; you just had one. If you decided to try a matrix flip of your own free will while you knew you were dreaming, then that was a lucid dream.
It may not have been long or elaborate, but that is what it was. Congrats!
