The last few times I’ve attempted to call a character, they didn’t come. This has led to the belief that it’s difficult to summon characters, which means it will be until I unravel this belief. I just read about visualizing something happening before attempting it, so I’ll try that. I’m aiming to increase confidence in my abilities in general.
Other than that, does anyone have some clever tricks for summoning characters when calling out to them isn’t effective? Thanks in advance!
I have found it extremely difficult to control what happens in my field of vision. The more realistic the dream is, the harder it is to control.
It has been a lot easier to expect the person or item in a place I can’t see, and then look in that place. For example, I can expect them to be around a corner, behind a door, or behind me.
Is this somebody you know IRL? Where would you usually find them, or expect them to be? If it is a famous person, could you go to their workplace/studio/arena and find them there? If it is a fictional character, a portal to their universe might be helpful. I have sometimes stuck my hand through a portal and pulled out the item I want. Maybe this could work on people too?
I can relate to that! The closest thing I’ve done to summoning something in my field of vision was to expect something in my hands to be there when I have them closed, and then opening them to find it. This obviously only works for small items though(what I tried first was a piece of candy).
Other than that, the corner strategy also worked for me, I successfully summoned my scooter once. I semi-regularly have to go to places with it and after I’m done with the place and returning to it, I walk expecting it to eventually be there. Sometimes all I have to do is turn around. Because of all this my brain finds it easy to imagine it just appearing out of nowhere, as long as I expect it. I wonder why I never thought of applying the same to people.
The third paragraph gives me the new ideas I was looking for in this thread. I’m excited to try them out the next time I dream. I would also love to see the opposite question answered(how to get rid of people) but that’s off-topic, will create a thread for it later.
Sounds interesting, I’ll try that. Another thing that I’ll plan to try after that if doesn’t work, is summon a pill in my hands, and then literally shove it down their throat and expect them to fall asleep a minute later.
Also, can the ability to make it happen be hindered by wanting it too much, trying too hard, or having a fear of my “powers” not working?
In my first ever LD, I wanted to be alone. After a few minutes, a couple of people came out of nowhere, and I telekinesis’ed them away with ease. They were not particularly annoying so it wasn’t something I needed to do, but like I said I wanted to be alone. Later an annoying woman with an even more annoying 4-6 year old kid came out of nowhere and both were annoying me to no end. I needed them out of my dream. And I just couldn’t. They followed me around the rest of the dream and pretty much ruined it. This also happened again recently in my 3rd last lucid dream, with my cousin brother being the annoying one. It didn’t matter where I went, he just wouldn’t go away.
