Just curious about this. I had a LD where I was able to turn ordinary lights on (don’t know about off–didn’t try). But I wonder if it’s just as easy night to day, or vice versa?
I did it once, I felt it was too dark with night, and it instantly changed to day. It’s like anything else in a LD, as long as you don’t doubt your powers, nothing’s impossible. 
You can conjure a remote control for the sky and play around with it. I tried it once, it was interesting. i turned the day into night then back. It got brighter, but the stars remained visible.
In my dreams, the lighting does change for me, so flipping a light switch isn’t exactly a good reality check for me. XD However, the light will light up a bit, then dim down. It gets annoying for me, especially when I don’t realize I’m in a dream. XD
With that said, I don’t even ATTEMPT to change night to day. XD But I probably will sometime…
I’m no fan of the lightswitch RC. But it can work. Just like your hands, sometimes in dreams they look normal, sometimes they look bizarre.

I could move my hand and control where the sun went so i could make it any time of the day i wanted. I could also control what season it was again by moving the sun in the sky. Of course then it got a bit out of control and caused major damage to the earths ecological system but still, it’s a dream, we can always have some fun 
well unless i enter my LD with a need to brighten things up ill do that but i geuss making the temperature comfortable will fit my needs haha
Yeah and be careful not to destroy the (dream) earth too much…
I changed day into night in my LD last night and then back, just to see what happens
yep.
Most of my nightmares happen at night, so when I became lucid in a dream that was occuring at night I just looked out the window and made it slowly grow brighter. Worked surprisingly well, considering I haven’t had much experience controlling dreams.
I’ll have to do that next time!
