i can get so happy from looking at these things. I don’t know why. It gives me a strange happyness inside. Plus a lot of awe. Feel inspired  This is all around us!

Wow. The first one is the best by far. Easy to forget that stuff like that is out there right now, as we speak! :cool_laugh:

Anybody have links to other sites featuring this kind of thing? Probably easy to search for but are there some better than others?

Great pics!!

I don’t know if you’re looking for this, but there’s one Awesome photo which kept me staring at it for hours. It’s the one Voyager I took from the solar system when it was on the brink of leaving it. You just see this huge nothingness surrounding a tiny tiny lightblue spot (only 0.12 pixels wide!), bathing in the middle of a sun ray reflected in the Voyager’s camera… If you like, I’ll search for the link  I think Carl Sagan once used this image to give another one of his deep speeches.

EDIT: I actually posted this before and before

I’ve been searching a bit and I came up with a top 100 space photos. Awesome stuff!

Many more great photos at the Hubble Heritage Gallery.

Astronomy Picture of the Day has been set as my start page for years. A great photo for inspiration every day :content:

How is there a picture of black hole at the center of the galaxy if light supposedly doesn’t escape a black hole and it’s all just theoretical?

Nice pictures though.

The picture only shows matter swirling around the black hole before entering it.

good photos pasQuale :ok:

Truly beautiful and amazing pics!
