Hi ! First maybe I should say that this is my first post on the forum, even though I’ve been coming here for a long time now but I could not find answers anywhere on this topic. I wanted to know if some of you can successfully induce dreams at the beginning of the night and what are your techniques ?
(I saw recently that we do dream at every step of our night cycle so I feel that it would be possible to fall asleep lucid at the beginning of the night)
I had many successful WILD in the middle of the night but always just fall asleep without being able to maintain my awareness at the beginning of the night.
Same here, I have only tried to achieve lucidity like 2 times but I use the WBTB strategy because instead of having to wait an hour to 30 minutes you can wake 4-5 hours after you go to bed, meditate a little bit or have constant thoughts/say things like “I will have a lucid dream” or “The next dream I have, I will be lucid in” Normally I use a calming alarm because you want to minimize your movements when doing the strategy. Either way I’m being able to stay conscious for longer (its just a feeling ig) and basically practice the strategy like you would train for a marathon. Before you wake up at 4am or 3am you have the go to bed the night before telling yourself your gonna have a lucid dream and ■■■■ (I sound crazy don’t I?)
You don’t it worked really well for me in the past. And as my recall gets better, this strategy gets easier and easier as I just feel the awakenings between dreams. Haven’t been able to go straight into a lucid dream at the beginning of the night though
I did not even think about why before your comment haha but I think it’s just because I like the feeling of entering dream this way. I usually do WILD during the night or in the morning. I actually don’t even know if it is possible to do WILD at the beginning of the night so it makes me even more curious to try it out for myself, see if it’s a different feeling than later at night etc. Truly for the sake of experimenting
