Yes, that is what we intend to do Sandra…the thing with finding the experienced people first. But remember, that’s just worst case scenario. Odds are some people are going to be lucid! Either way though…if you don’t induce lucidity yourself for this one party…then you have a moderate risk of not being able to attend.

For those of you who did sign up, welcome to LD4All’s Largest Shared Lucid Dream of all time! You are taking part in an experiment of Shared Dreaming. With experiments, comes trial and error. This first party probably will not be the best out of the ones to come (especially since we only have 2 hosts :eek: ). But I can assure you, if you are able to become lucid however way on the party night, it will be like no other experience. If you thought Lucid Dreaming was fun, wait till you do it with friends!

Anyways, with that said, and with you knowing that this first party is basically the “test” party…I want to let you know that if something goes wrong with you personally, please don’t be discouraged. The system we have right now (as I’ve said numerous times in posts) is pretty much already looking faulty…lol. We are going to swing around it though. There are already chosen people who are declared “experienced”, and they will be the first to be found in the LD. Once they are aware, they will then help the hosts, making our force go from 2 people, to about 12 people. However, that is still too few…So I strongly encourage you to keep up your practicing.

Also said before, our next party will have a much better system that will allow everybody to be able to attend in a much easier way. But because the party is a week from today, it is kind of hard to change.

Anyways…that was my little speech to pretty much sum up everything for those who didn’t want to read 15 long pages of hidden information.

I forgot about the practice dream, but I feel like I had some weird dreams last night, hmm. I’ve got an idea, maybe we should find people in the order that they signed up, first come first served. Now where would that put me? Let’s see :plotting: …well what do you know, that would make me first in line :tongue: .

That would be really crazy for Bendrummin and Darxide to remember the order of everyone! I bet its hard enough remembering all 41 guests.

I was so so so so so so so mad i didnt get there. I had told myself to wake up at the right time so I could WBTB and when I did wake up it was two hours after the party!!!
I was so mad. From now on, i am always using an alarm clock.
And I dont really know what happened, but bendrummin made it sound like the whole thing was a confusing mess, sooooo why dont we try another practice like on tuesday night or even wednesday night? That would be a good idea, because i dont think one practice is enough.

Or we could just have a “party” every friday night until we are sucessful enough at it.

But my vote is for another practice before the party.

ummm okay something so strange happened.

i couldn’t WBTB at 3 a.m. i was just drifting in and out of alpha but when I did LD it was probably near 4 a.m. (+1hr party time) and so I went to the lucid crossroads.

something inexplicably bizarre happened.

before that i saw someone with short blonde hair, a masculine facial/jaw structure, friendly, smiling, with a kind of scruffy blonde beard/mustache type thingy.

i wasn’t sure who on earth he was, but he was at “my” default dream location and took the place of a girl who was there beforehand, like she disappeared into him.

Ben, I’ve already Pmed you but I’d like to say openly. Holy Reality do you have brown hair? Because I have a blonde scruffy beard going on, but my hair isn’t blonde, it used to be almost white when I was younger.

I also have glasses on, and I’ve already PMed Ben saying maybe it was me because I had a short LD at his Seahome. I saw three browned haired guys there, but I didn’t think Ben was there. That’s my experience.

my hair could be construed as brown. but you would have seen me doing something out of the ordinary if you were that guy.

this was also no where near any form of seahome or lucid crossroads.

we need more than hair color to go on unfortunately.

I think the fact that there are only 2 hosts is a good sign, it means people are taking this experiment seriously enough to not want the responsibility of hosting.

I’m a pretty decent lucid dreamer, but I don’t have a 100% success rate (yet!). Also, I don’t want to spend my time searching, I want to spend my valuable LD time at the party!

the key to hosting is to get the WBTB rhythmn set up right, maintain the bedtime and the WBTB time until you are going lucid at 3 a.m.

if i can do that i will host. i find the WBTB tricky though to time out right.

Even though that last experience sounds more likely to be true than just confirmation through “a scruffy beard”, without a password etc I still think you can’t say if it was an SD for sure.

But still. Awesome, guys!

Uhhhh, party…in…two…days. I haven’t been able to get into the chat. I think I’m going to a concert that saturday…I just found out, one of those deals where the person who originally had the ticket can’t go. And this thread is starting to grow mold when it should be more active then ever. Come on people! Talk it up! You only have two days left to practice, so practice well.

Mike and Wyvern, you 2 should be hosts. I don’t think Ben can do this being the only host.

I would be a host, but I don’t trust my ablity to have a LD on a given night. Partly because I have only had 2 successfull WILD’s ever, and every other one was a DILD with a RC.

I’m pretty confident in my ability to get lucid when I actually make an effort, it’s just that I’ve never been to Lucid Crossroads before. I tried twice already and failed. One through a door one through a mirror.

EDIT: I just checked the times and it’s perfect for me since I sleep in periods of 3 hours so I’m positive I’ll be lucid tonight. I’ll try my best to get there.

I get lucid a couple times a week, great lucidity when I do. But, I’ve got some people coming over and I’m going out to a bunch of patio and rooftop bars (Love the summer!).

So, don’t count me out, the time is great for me, but I may not be too dependable. If I do show up, I’ll be the drunk guy raiding the minibar. :grin:
