Can knowing WHEN I dream help me become lucid?

(Just to put it in context):

A few weeks ago, I began to notice that the numbers “420” started appearing everywhere, and I know it has nothing to do with the ahem “holiday” on April 20th every year, because I don’t smoke.

There were some instances where I had the strange sensation to look at a clock, and it would be, oddly enough, 4:20.

But anyway, I saw 4:20 and variations of it virtually EVERYWHERE, and it wasn’t until a few days of this when I became really curious of why this was happening.

So I set my alarm for 4:20 AM thinking it might have something to do with time, and to my surprise, I remembered a few dreams. (At around the time this 420 stuff started happening, I was still interested in lucid dreaming but lacked motivation; I had senior final projects to do and really had no time, so my dream recall suffered, and I was down to about 1 dream a week… :bored: )

I’ve been waking up at 4:20 ever since and remembering at least one dream a day, after I go back to bed and wake up at my usual time, which is about 5:30 AM.

Is there anyway I can easily use this to my advantage for lucid dreaming, seeing as I now “know” a time where I am dreaming every night?

Have you ever seen the movie ‘The number 23’? In that film the main character sees the number 23 pretty much everywhere. When he looks at the clock, page numbers, everything.

No, this is not an anwser to your question, but that movie just remined of what you told

Anyway, 4.20 is a time at which you are quite likely to have dreams. I do too, in fact, I usually set my alarm at half past four. If you wake up from a dream, you are in the perfect position to try WILD or any other form, because when you fall asleep again, you might continue with the last dream. So yes, you can use it in your advantage!

Haha, thanks for the reply!

Whew, glad I’m not alone, but I still don’t know why or what caused me to see 420 everywhere; it was probably just a coincidence. I still like to think of it as my subconscious trying to tell me something, it sounds much more interesting anyway!

I’ll try WILD, I just hope that getting up and turning my alarm off won’t ruin my attempt by waking me up.
