I had my first flying lucid dream yesterday night
I became lucid while I was flying
I was trying to decide wether I was dreaming or not, and then I noticed, Hey! Iām flying, so I MUST be dreaming. (Pretty silly, huh.) Anyway, I found flying to be harder than expected
But I still had fun
The times that Iāve āflownā, it hasnāt ever been with the thought of recreation, but more of necessity. I just see a ledge or something that I want to go to, and I levitate directly to it and then stop flying, without even thinking about it. It never occurred to me (while in a lucid dream, at least) to just fly around for fun, which would be awesome.
ive got one for taking off, but it doesent really work for flyingā¦well i think it does, but it looks kind of wierd.
the iron man way
i you know how to use telekenisis in lucid dreams, then its pretty easy, all you do is put your hands at your side, with your hands up like iron man, and push yourself forward , and your off.
havent tried it before, might tonight.
it would probably be alot easier if you had armor like i do in LDās.
its kind of like a cross between iron man, and master chiefs armor, its pretty cool
I grow wings out of my back and arms.
I guess Iām just a natural at flying when I read some of the posts here, haha. I donāt know why, but I instinctively āknowā how to fly. In my normal dreams I donāt always have full control (though actually Iāve gotten better and better at it). In my lucid dreams when I fly, itās total freedom. I can fly as fast or slow as I like, I can do aerobatics, all that stuff. It just happens.
Itās kind of like how Peter Pan flies. Effortless is how Iād describe it. I just know that I can when Iām dreaming. Actually, even in my normal dreams Iāll just take off sometimes and fly around (have actually gotten lucid like that once or twice).
Different styles of flying? How about different styles of taking off lol. In my latest LD, I went through the screen in my bedroom window. It was pretty tripppy. I had a bit of trouble actually flying though. I was pretty wobbly at first. I think its cause im not used to it really as much as i was back when i had LDs more often.
I fly by flaminā jets cominā out of my feet
I fly pretty much with ease, I love to fly into space and over beaches its beautiful and the wind feels so calming, my big problem is when I try to carry another person to fly with me in my LD. They always weigh me down and it is hard to take off with them hanging on to me, anyone else have this problem?
I was racing rally cars in my dream, they were winning so I decided to cheat and fly over the obstacles. Only problem was that I lost altitude whenever I tried to fly superman-style, so I had to stay in a seated position (I remember thinking āwow, I must look so stupid right nowā).
i fly by trying to āhold downā the happy excited feeling you get when you know youāre dreaming, and then, jumping, let it out. i am then in the air, and flying in any style. usually like superman, except with both arms out in front of me. i have only swim-flew in non lucid dreams. it is ssssllllloooowwwwwww, and you dont get very high, but it is very easy, and easy to steer and control.
Hereās a technique to try: I sometimes just make the ground crash beneath me to reveal the several miles of distance between the ground and you. Itās easier not to lose your confidence and fall to the ground if you canāt see it.
lol the swim style is weird cuz you can float on back like you swimming, your laying down in mid air.
i find it hard sometimes to stay afloat tho
Hello Everyone,
My friend told me about an LD that she recently had. She was trying to fly, but couldnāt figure out how to. So, she called in one of her friends that was a master of lucid dreaming, during the dream. She told her that she had to spin first then do a superman style. It actually worked!
Soā¦
Maybe if we all call someone into our LDs, we will all become masters of flying!
Thatād be great.

My general style of flying is like the of Super Sonic in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. I start jogging, then I sprint, then I finally throw my body forwards and my arms backand my feet just rise off the ground. It works a treat and I find it fairly maneuverable.
Normally I donāt have trouble flying, but sometimes itās just funny when itās not happening for me in a LD. Last week, for example, I was trying to fly through a grocery store, but what actually happened resembled scooting across the concrete floor on my stomach. Does that count as a flying style?
I call it āthe worm.ā hehe
Nice tips on how to help flying im sure they will come in handy for me. I havent flown yet, but it is something I would simply love to try. My friend although did fly last night and she said she just ran and bursted through her window, flown for a couple seconds but then lost control and fell down to the ground. she said it didnt hurt though even though she landed on her backā¦
HEY PEOPLE,
Donāt you suppose to do watever you want?
Doesnāt your imagination suppose to be your limit?
There souldnāt be one style that works and another that donāt, you shouldnāt have problems at all.
Itās all in your head, guys.
Hahaha, I had a LD this night (first one since February or March)
I tried the superman-style for the first time. It seems that my right hand has more power than the left one, which makes me go round and around.
And I tried my new cool ājet shoesā. They had so much power, that I became up-side-down and I became dizzy. It was scary.
you know what iāve done before, itās a technique i kinda made up one time, idk, someone else has probably figured it out b4
i call it the iron man technique. itās almost like superman technique, but you build up energy in your hands as well as in your feet, and point them towards the ground like iron man does in that movie. it worked pretty well for me
