I have searched but i havent found what,or how to do DILD is?They mension it in Exploring the world of lucid dreaming,by Steven LaBerge, but they dont say what it is,or how to do it.
DILD just refers to becoming aware of your dreams while you are dreaming… i.e. you wake up in your dream.
If you want to have a DILD you need to try to wake up in your dream, and you can do that by noticing Dream Signs which will make your mind realise you are dreaming.
Have a look through these forums, use this search feature.
for me, i just realize im dreaming and then i do a RC or two to make sure. ive never had one where i did a RC first and then i became lucid, its always just been a sense that im dreaming.
well you could either notice a dream sign or perform an RC and that will be your dream sign, so to speak…
When you do RC’s don’t do them half hearted. Really question the possibility that you could be dreaming. This is what will help you have DILD’s more often.
I’m just fishing here since I’ve never had to force myself to believe I’m not dreaming.
What’s esentially the idea is getting yourself, through someway to perform a reality check, it’s something that I automatically do, you could try to force yourself while your awake to do reality checks alot.
If you do it enough it should become an automtism, you will also do it in your dreams then, which will usually lead you to conclude your dreaming.
Nothing to add… DILD happens when you are realizing that you are dreaming. DILD can be caused by doing MILD,performing RC’s, WBTB, motivation, etc. (not by WILD). It’s best to combine all methods, it can give surprisingly good results!
The point of RC’s are to question reality around you; More then better, you don’t have to do RC’s in dream, but realize that you are dreaming. RC’s are good to be sure, but as much I know and experienced, overall idea of “OMG, it can be a dream” comes by DS, or just by. RC’s are good way to change state of mind from “?” to “!” . Doing RC’s from habit don’t happens too often.
… ok I have to stop !
Well to the guy that said “use the search tool/look around the forums” I did both and didn’t find anything, thats why im here. =D
Well thank you (ill stick to WILD because i suck at RC’s).
I meant to use the search tool to learn how to do the techniques… DILD isn’t an actual ‘technique’ itself, it refers to the use of technique such as MILD
