Dreaming for behaviour analysis

moved from stuff forum to adventures, since it is LD related and something that can be done while lucid :moogle:

I was wondering if one could use lucid dreaming for analisys of behaviour of people…

In example… I spoke to my boss at work today about something I really do care about (real situation… it’s a change in my schedule that could cause me lots of problems)… He told he agrees with me and will do his best to minimize the time this change will occur, but I had a slight sensation he wasn’t sincere…

What if I recreate the situation in a lucid dream and try to understand what was that wronglike feeling?.. something like using a subconscious body signal translating interface… or having a DC explaining me or having him expressing all the untold part (we don’t tell lots of things when speaking, but tell them with movements, eyes, voice tones, posture…)

Has anyone ever tried this?

Haven’t tried it yet, but this is an interesting idea. I’d love to be able to read people like that. :plotting:

Interesting.

I think there may be two options for this test: Either you will get what you expected (Which means you are guessing), or you will discover something you hadn’t noticed.

The main purpose would be noticing something I have already noticed, but hasn’t been consciously seen… I mean our SC keeps track of lots of variables like breathing speed, eyes position, changes in the posture, tonal variations in the voice, pauses, lots of other elements that are used for an intuitive further analisys of the told message, but being part of our species all of these perceptions get altered (or mediated) by conscious elements like expectations, desires, personal inclinations (how many times does it happen that we mistake common gestures for hidden signals of something… especially when we really really really want something)… I am wondering if this could be a way to get the non-verbal part of the message explicitly so that it won’t be altered.

Couldn’t this be a good idea to develop for an experiment?

this sounds really interesting. You could probably learn from your dream experience too, and keep some of the analytical skills you practiced.

that would be phase 2

I think that’s a great idea. It’ll probably help the stability of your LD’s as well by having something to focus on. You’ll be able to replay it and run by different scenarios…Go for it…

I always find having an argument a great way to let off pent up emotions in an LD. That might help as well; it could clear your head.

Anyway, have fun! I’m going to try this!! grins
