Fall is here.

I love fall. One of the greatest feelings in life is getting warm in cold weather. Getting cool in the summer dosnt feel near as great.

Sure, I love Fall too. (as long as it doesn’t get too cold :content: )

PS- Your postcount is lucky 777! :boogie:

Fall isn’t my favorite season, but I like it. Spring by the way is my favorite season. I like the smell and the look of the trees in fall. Fall has that distinct smell of, well whatever it is that smells good. The air feels good at that time of year. It’s cool but not cold and the humidity seems just right (most of the time anyway) As a gardener however, I hate to see things die until the growing season returns.

Fall and Spring… my favorite seasons. I like them so much because they’re so full of changes, transitions between death and birth. Summer is just too stable in life, and winter is too stable in death…

*Autumn.

I love autumn, by far the best season of the year.

Autumn is definitely cool. Best season of the year by far! Since I’m in Utah next to the mountains, I’m going to try and get up there this weekend to look at the leaves, if I do I’ll be sure to post pics! :content:

I like the winter, because there are no mosquito’s and stuff, not too hot… And I’m allergic to alot of stuff so I don’t like spring

I hate fall, because our summer is very short and shitty. During the summer it is mostly rainy and overcast here, actually we have infact like 15-20 days on average with rain per month. And then you often have snow from october to may and infact it snowed in september this year a bit north of here… So now it is soon time for snow showelling, icy streets and freezing your but off. And our summers are like the winters in south europe, with the exception of more rain.

A normal winter day here is from 0c to -20c, which is actually not so bad compared to other parts of this country… In northern norway, it can easily drop under -30c on a winter day.
And you also have no sun at all in the winter times in the nothern parts, while here the daytime last a few hours a day, even though the sun never goes more than 3-4 degrees above horizon.

I cant complain much about this fall though, compared to what the normal is… Last part of september has been nearly ok with temps ranging 11-18c.

I know what you’re talking about, Tomas. It isn’t nearly as bad here, but the mountains are already snow covered near the tops, and we’ll probably have a big snowstorm before the end of October. In mid-winter, we get temperatures below -10F (-23C), but not too often. Still, I love the feel and the smell of autumn.

Spring here, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s finally warm enough for me to go outside without my huge jacket, and I can cut my electricity bill in half without so many heaters running all the time. Mid-Spring and mid-Autumn are the best times for me, as it’s not too cold, but it’s also not too hot. I tend to forget how crazy it can get at both extremes, so it’s nice to have these comfortable few weeks between Summer and Winter each year. It won’t be long now until it’s scorching hot, so I’m trying to make the most of it.

And so far, I think I’m the only Southern Hemisphere resident to post in this thread.

Hmm, how many here in the forum are from the Southern Hemispher? Quite a few I’m sure.

My windows are open and a cold breeze is drifting in.

Fall and winter are tied for my favorite seasons. My memories thoughts and emotions seem much more powerful at this time. Rest of the year I feel disconnected.

I like the fact we have seasons here, so you keep noticing each season. The first blossoms, the first hot day, the first falling leaves, the first ice/snow. At the same time our climate is very moderate, so we don’t experience a lot of extremes (allthough many people here have the false idea it always rains here).

Weee! Fall this year will yield a new game of my taste!

Sly 3 Honor among thieves!

It’s spring for me, but so far I haven’t noticed a dramatic change in temperature. Normally I prefer winter because that’s when we get all the rain and storms (which I love), but this year I’m looking forward to summer so I can hold lots of parties in my new house! :content:

I must say that next to blue cotton candy, tootsie roll lollipops and chatting with good friends, Fall is right up there.

I absolutely love the Fall season. I love the changing of the leaves. I love the fact that it’s not quite cold but it certainly isn’t hot any longer. I love the crisp cool air. I love the Fall. And I miss the best Fall season in MA.

Here in Georgia, where I live anyway, the change in foliage is very faint. The Fall temperatures are no where near where I’m used to. But nonetheless, I embrace the Fall here too.

Fall is my favorite season. It’s the most aesthetically interesting season to me, and its visual qualities mixed with the cold air results in an absorbingly atmospheric effect.

I love the first part of Fall. (right now that is) It’s nice and hot during the day and a tad bit cooler at night. I live in Florida btw, so it never really gets THAT cold. Fine with me, I’m not a lover of the cold. Sun power- whoo! Is it odd at all that I actually like to be hot?

*disguises as a cat and moves in with wolb.

want to live in Sunny Place!

besides that, i find i enjoy fall this time. It is dry, the sun shines, and the leaves are turning a beautiful color

Over here, the frost has already moved in. I wouldn’t be surprised this fall would be the most winter-ish fall we’ve had (in Norway).
