Harry Potter Discussion [warning: spoilers]

Who thinks Malfoy will end up helping Harry in the end?

I’m still bent both ways on this onw, but I’m starting to lean more towards ‘no’. J.K. probably knows a lot of people are expecting it, so –oh I don’t know…

What are your thoughts?

Draco will make the right choice as far as being a death eater goes, but helping Harry? No.

Malfoy is NEVER going to help harry out. EVER. I just know it. One thing about the movie… The 4th movie… Voldemort missed his MOST IMPORTANT LINE! He didn’t say “I, who have tread further than any man on the path to immortality” Which is a clue to dumbledore about the horcruxes which eventually lead to his death and RAB.

It wasn’t that important.

Voldemort returned, that is clue enough that he used magical means. The words don’t give anything away, just that he went “further” to do it.

That’s more of a clue that he did more than one Horcrux than that he used one.

Dark Matter :

That is the exact reason for it being important !

And I think they didnt had read the 6th book while making the scene …

i think they left out lots of important stuff… or at least… a lot

I know. Thats how i felt aswell. They can’t cut out one of the most important lines in the series!

well, they cut out EVERYTHING about S.P.E.W
the first 5 chapters are done in a single minute( or the WC takes shorter then the murder)
they cut out most about rita etc, they go to hogsmaede a few times in the book but not in the movie

S.P.E.W wasn’t important to the plot, THAT LINE WAS! The first few chapters aren’t as important as the urder, which shows Voldemort is returning to power, which also helps set the scene for the rest of the movie.

I think another important character will die in HP7–but, who :uh:?

I’m pretty much going to go with the idea that J.K. will kill off Voldemort–either alone, or him and Harry both dying–but I think before that happens another major character, possibly close to Harry, will die…

One of the Weasleys, maybe…:hmmm:

Or Hermione…

Hagrid could be a possibility, too…:uh:

Not really. We still find out that he had 6horcruxes + 1 soul piece in his body via the Slughorn memory.

Dumbledore didn’t know for sure he made more than one, he just guessed. Nothing stopping him from guessing he made more than one, he knows Riddle well and his fear of death.

I really don’t think it’s quite as important as it seems to be, but still not something I would have removed by choice either.

I thought J.K. Rowling had a lot of pressure of what’s in the movie and what isn’t. If it was really that important she would insisted it to be in the movie I think.

And off course some character die, that’s what you always got with filming books. I prefer that over a 6 hours film :content:

She has some say, she can tell the screenwriter what needs to be in for future events.

But what about when it comes to proproduction with scene cutting and editing? Does she still get a say then?

DM, i think it’s 5 hocruxes and 2 soul pieces
he allready used one to restore to power
the ugly baby or the bone

Dude, the ugly baby WAS Voldemort, so it obviously contained some of his soul…

No it’s 6 horcruxes (assuming he made them all) and the soul piece he had since before he tried to kill baby Harry.

The Horcruxes he had stopped the part of him in his body moving on while he found a way to return.

I don’t think the Horcruxes are “used” in the way of need to use one to return. I think they just stop the soulpiece in the body moving on, hence why Voldemort because that wierd ghostlike being.

And I doubt he would have made a horcrux from his fathers bones.

He hated him, using him or part of him for a horcrux wouldn’t fit Voldemort’s “dirty muggle father” way of thinking.

I just recently noticed something. Hermione grangers birthday is on the 19th September, right? THATS MY BIRTHDAY TOO!

Okay, am I the only HP fan who’s fixated on the thought that Snape isn’t evil? (haven’t read the whole thread from the beginning, sorry if I missed something).

I just think that Dumbledore knew that he was going to die, and there is a scene in the 6th book where Snape and Dumbledore are talking and Dumbledore says Snape already promised him something. And Snape is valuable… he’s very powerful and very knowledgeable, he has all these awesome skills, PLUS he’s already close to Voldemort. I just don’t think that JKR would show this humaine side of Snape (in the later books anyway) just to make him the evil guy #1.

Either way… I’ll always love Snape lol, even if he turns out to be evil (which he won’t).

Dream on. // Olesia

i made myself harry in one of my LD’s

What item did we find out about in PoA?

(From mugglenet.com)

Voldemort’s soul is probably in seven pieces, and there are seven books. What if one piece were hidden in each book?

Book 1 = Voldemort is introduced (the last part of his soul in him)
Book 2 = Riddle’s diary
Book 3 = ?
Book 4 = Voldemort’s snake, Nagini
Book 5 = The locket in Sirius’s house
Book 6 = Marvolo’s ring
Book 7 = ?

What could book 3 have hidden?
