I was just reading the thread about being shot in a dream, and suddenly I remembered a dream that I had a long time ago, easily 5 years ago. In the drean I was in an office building and spontaneously there was a giant explosion that surely killed me. Suddenly the setting changed and I felt a sense of sadness and joy, as I was ascendeding into some sort of afterlife. It was a very interesting dream. So for all of you people that believe in life after death, have any of you had any dreams that continued after you thought you were dead. I am very curious of how other people visualize heaven in their dreams.
Yes I had dream where I was dead.
I was in between the two worlds of life and afterlife, sort of like a ghost, only I knew I was dead. It looked like I was alive only it felt strange, so I started walking around seeing people who were alive (Mourning my death, I think).They didn’t see me. A being also told me to simply wait , it was a good being not evil . I was frightened too, so I started to meditate 
in between walking and waiting to see what happenes. Than a portal openes up and a devil/demon 
like creature tries to grab me. I knew this was not what I was waiting for, so I ascaped it. After more wandering and meditation I woke up. That demon was like a test to see my inner strength or something similar.
And that is my afterlife dream. 
Freaky
In one of my ND, I reexperienced a story three times and each time different. It was built in the dream in a form of time travel but it is also a dreamsign for me(should be).
And at the end of the third line, I was hit by an explosion and lost all my physical body(in dream interpetation). An old man and woman also lost their bodies in the explosion. And we went out the street and there were a feeleing to wait until we are captured up to heaven. But I woke up. I was happy because of the opportunity to go into heaven.
Another time I was shot in the head. After that 10 second strange feeling. And then I woke up.The second one is an older experience.
I think that theese two are not true preceptions about the afterlife just a model of my worldview and faith.
In general I believe that there is an afterlife and we can experience things from “outside”, but I think that most dreams are just models and probably have components in them from the spiritual world. But my opinion about this is just evolving 
.
