Have no fear...

Guys,

I’m at the beginning of my lucid dreaming journey and as much as it is exciting it’s equally as scary. Yesterday morning, I fell into a lucid dream, and fell back out of it from abit of fear. I know that it’s cause it’s a new experience for me and i will be more confident and calm as time goes by.

We can’t rush these things in life. Baby steps.

Has anyone had this experience in the begining. And for those of you who are new and are having the same experience, don’t be afraid we’re going through it together.

I’ve had a similar experience. Though I found that after the dream is when I was a little unnerved.

Perhaps I wasn’t ready for it’s intensity.

As they say, it just takes time!

@Happy

What made you afraid?

It’s normal to feel a bit of awkwardness when attempting at first. Actually obtaining lucidness can also lead to disturbing images etc.

After I fully realised that everyting in the dream is YOU, I was not afraid anymore. After I learned some good techniques to influence the dreamscape I realised that you have the power to change anything… And therefore there need not be any scary or disturbing things in your dreams…

I think a large part (maybe even the majority) of the people here woke up directly after becoming lucid for the first time for whatever reason (excitement, fear, etc.). So I wouldn’t worry about it and just be glad you’ve made this big step forward in your learning curve.

Thx for the feedback guys!

Of course you are afraid. I recall being too - I’m even quite afraid now when doing those WBTB WILD’s which are so “abrupt” :tongue:.

You should just let yourself drift away and end up in a LD despite all your fears. You’ll see it’s fun and your fears will disappear. I know this is very hard to do… but there are just two things which make fear go away:

  1. Motivation - which you obviously don’t have :tongue: (no offense man)
  2. Experience - which you obviously don’t have either :tongue:

So… you choose. Either you motivate yourself “I want to do it ! I just WANT to do have a LD !!” or simply wait and have a few LD’s gain some experience and go with it do to that WILD :wink:.

Your choice man ! :smile:
