Have you ever been advertised to in a dream?

Okay, the idea of this thread is a bit silly and sounds like a Futurama joke, but have you ever felt like you made a purchase based on something that happened in your dreams? I don’t think it’s ever happened like a real advertisement to me before, but occasionally I will dream of a certain food and when I wake up I think to myself “oh, that sounds delicious… I should make that sometime.” And every time I actually go through with it I’ll think “darn, the dream marketers got to me again!” I especially feel it when I end up ordering something from a restaurant because I dreamt of it…

Anyone else experience something similar before?

I’ve done the opposite - have been advertising LD4all in lucid dreams to dream characters XD (idk if it worked hahaha)

Regarding food. I always take that as a sign my body needs that and yes I will purchase/cook it. (Unless it’s a dream recipe kinda thing that’s really cool in the dream but I have no clue how to make that irl)

Yes, it’s very dominant with food but also with computer games and sometimes music or TV shows. Although the dream inspires me to consume these latter, it’s usually not that I buy them because of the dream. Instead it’s usually stuff that I already own and just revisit because of a dream.

One noteworthy case where I did buy something was with Diablo 3. I used to play part two with my best friend while we were both in school and we spent so many hours on it. But when Diablo 3 came out we moved on to the next stages of our lives and were in separate places. Unlike him, I decided to not buy it because I didn’t want to spend the time then. But then in 2015 or so, long after its initial release, I had a random dream where I was playing it. After waking up, it was a Saturday morning, I just instantly bought it and played it until I had my money worth of it and then a lot more

What I thought this was about was seeing the same advertisements in reality over and over again, or even just once. I avoid them because I don’t want these things in my head, but it concerns me that they might infect people’s dreams. Advertisements being inflicted on you is annoying, but if you can’t even escape from them in your dreams then that is even more depressing, that your own mind could be hijacked by advertisers and used as advertising space. Hopefully this never happens.
