Having trouble with WILD

I have been trying to WILD at night for the past few weeks (not every night), and I can never keep my mind awake. I’ll be thinking in my head, and telling myself to not fall asleep, but the next thing you know, it’s morning, and the WILD did not work.
I also have trouble keeping my body still. Almost immediatley after I close my eyes I get itches everywhere, and I have to swallow and change my position.
I’ve tried doing WILD in the morning too, but I’m always just laying there for hours, my body not being able to fall asleep.
Does anyone have any suggestions to help me be able to have a WILD?

Well, how do you normally fall asleep? If you do toss and turn a lot normally, you shouldn’t be so hard with yourself if the urge comes while WILD’ing.
Also, telling yourself is both something you don’t want to do, yet the thing that brings you into slumber  because you are effectively getting sleepy by the influence of the sole words “falling asleep”; SC doesn’t read negatives, only positives.

Moreover, did you at least try to recall what happened? Because you could have had an LD all the same, a WILD can fail and still bring you a DILD

Besides, it’s pretty easy to keep your train of thought LD-related if you are interested enough in LD’ing; just imagine a past dream of yours becoming a LD, and roll with it in your mind as you fall asleep; or repeat to yourself “I’m dreaming/aware/conscious”, “This is a dream”, so you’ll be ready when the dream comes :content:
