I wanted to go to www.death.com, I dont want anyone to see it, and freak out, but I cant figure how to get it off.
if you use MicroSoft Internet Explorer, you can use the menu Tools and select Internet Options.
You will get a popup window where you can go to the General tab at the top and then select Delete Files to clear the Temporary Internet Files and click on Clear History to clear the last links you visited.
However, MicroSoft Internet Explorer tends to leave traces.
Therefor it is often advised to use these more thorough programs.
I have not tested any of these I will now mention and will not be liable if they contain spyware or other junk or whatever.
One of the most well-known history cleaners is Window Washer:
webroot.com/products/windowwasher
Window Washer is a handy tool to clear all Internet traces.
Though it is a paid program, it has a trial version.
There is also the free Privacy Eraser:
privacyeraser.com/free-internet-eraser.htm
I don’t know how well-build this program is, but it looks okay to do the job.
Again, the use of these products is at own risk, but they seem to be supported by Download.com, so they are most likely tested.
btw, the correct way to spell the word is ‘experience’
you might find more what you are looking for at:
google.com/search?q=near+death+experience
for instance:
near-death.com/
So what the heck was so bad about the death.com site? Now you’ve got me scared to go there. Is it like rotten.com or something?
is it not possible that whoever would bother to be checking your internet history would check and find this site, or even this very post and see you were going to death.com?
conundrum!
if another user of your computer checks your stuff regularly just tell them what you were up to, its easier then sneaking around.
And every once in a while there are certain other repricussions to deleting internet histories/cahces/cookies.
could be as simple as somebody noticing a gap in the cache, and that something has been deleted and then assume the worse, that perhaps you were visiting bombsoup or some unscrupulous unmentionable website.
just be upfront and honest.
dont hide.

Thanks, not that its bad, I just didnt want them to think me or anyone else in the household was dying.
I heard widows washer was good.
I use ontrac internet clean up my self.
There are also lots of other freeware programs you can get as well.
Cleaning your system of all the internet crap from time to time is a good idea anyway. Since I started using it I noticed my computer ran better and I got a lot less spam!
As for the privacy issue, I am a strong believer in personal privacy. Therefore, I see nothing wrong with cleaning you internet history.
don’t lie, you were looking at porn.
Hehehe.
also, use something else than MSIE… mozilla firefox or Opera for instance…
MSIE attracts too much junk anyway…
I suggest you delete also cookies and files cause often stuff tends to remain even despite the history cleaning. Using cleanup programs helps too.
Depends operating sys. as well. You might want to manually clear the files if you’re using XP. I use Browser Star to clean out my files since the typed enteries tend to stay.
