Hypnosis

I was wondering if a hypnotist could hpnotise someone so that every time they are dreaming they know they are because of the hypnosis. they would then become become Lucid every night.

Is this possible ?

It is possible to use hypnosis for lucid dreaming, but as any other technique we discovered so far, it isn´t allmighty.
If you know someone who is into hypnosis I´d give it a try, you could also learn self-hypnosis.Perhaps it´ll help you with lucid dreaming, but you can´t expect any method to give you lucid dreams every night without even doing something for it.

Traumgänger

If not the prices id be doing it allready. In few books ive read about experiments how to implement hipnosis in lucid dreaming. They say there were significant effects with posthipnotic suggestions. To both-recall and lding.
Ive allways thought and still think that its one of the best methods around if you`re the one having troubles with autosuggestion/visualization and all that mess. Its better if someone does it for you because hes a specialist and u can add placebo effect if you have a faith in it(and u should as its quite good thing).
if i ever have some spare cash for it im in.Tho they say u need few sessions:(
good luck

Themills2k3 only 20% of the ppl can get under a deep hypnosis and that u would need for this!
Stephen laberge wrote about such an experiment in his books and yes it did work!
But remember it was done with those 20% of the ppl that could get under a true hypnosis (deep hypnosis).

Jeff

do you know if that 20% has like a genetic predisposition(sp?) or is it possible to “practice” to be hypnotized?

warpmymind.com
has a free mp3 hypnosis file which you can use to try to induce lucid dreams.

I’ve tried it a couple of times - it increased dream recall but no LD’s so far…
I do go deep ‘under’ during it but so far… well.

Actually most people can enter deep hypnosis, not just 20%. If the person who does the hypnotizing is experienced, it will be easier to induce more people into trance.
Some people will be harder to hypnotize than others. The person you are going to hypnotize needs to trust you, and he also need to have high self consiusnes (sp?). Therefore, time, place and audience will have something to say for how easy it will be to hypnotize that person. But if you get the person to feel safe and to trust you, he will be much easier to hypnotize.

Btw,

I have self-hypnoized myself into having lucid dreams every night and yes, it worked! Really HIGH-level lucidity! Lasted for whole two weeks and I got tired of becoming lucid. Ha ha ha!

Yeah, it might work… but you gotta be in really deep trance for that. Hey, that’s a good idea! I’m going to do that again to see if I can have some more lucid dreams since I’m in lucidity drought right now. Thanks  First I gotta try that mint tea/banana/honey experiment then I’ll try that again. Thanks for the idea!

You know, the warp my mind warning implies there’s something close to porn on that page, SOO I’m not gonna risk it until my dad is out of the room. Good day. I’ll try it later and tell you what I think!

Oh my freaking god… (my dad fell asleep)

I WANNA BE A MALE SLAVE!! ( please refer to the Warp My Mind site, it’s QUITE interesting.)

You can listen to it without being hypnotised (just don’t relax etc) so you can confirm what is being said during the recording.

The warning is because of some files which are somewhat extreme (some files can make you think you’re a woman, etc… etc… )…

Ah I was drawn into trance without realizing it! (The dream one)
Some of those files there really scare me, especially the curses. But I’d wager you’d be able to overthrow those suggestions after they were implanted, only a mentally weak person wouldn’t be able to resist that kind of crap. I doubt it’s as effective as the guy makes it out to be. I’ll post my results tomorrow, in the morning if it works, in the afternoon if it doesn’t (why get up early and type excitedly for nothing) so I’ll be seein ya

And be careful with those damn things! It costs 40 dollars to remove a curse if they are for real!

DM7, could you please post how you hypnotized yourself? You’re a source I can trust. :content:

Oh yeah, be careful with that site. It’s really heavy duty on the perverted scale. Sure, there aren’t that many pictures or popups to run into, but it’s really disturbing when you read what some of those things are intended to do. Plus that guy’s voice is extremely annoying.

Infection0,

Here is one of the common self-hypnoizing techniques.

Induce a deep trance by relaxing and imagine yourself falling into a deeper trance with each slow deep exhale. Feel your muscles melting away. Just melt away… relax yourself until you feel like you’re very heavy. Soon you find your mind beginning to calm down as well. Continue to relax further… when your mind is quiet enough that your thoughts or intentions seem so loud when you ‘say’ it in mind.
That’s when it begins. Hypnoizing is like tricking your mind into changing negative into positive with strong POSITIVE sentences. Say something like, “When I count to 10, I become a LD expert. I will get LD every night. LDs will be so intense.” (Do not say something like I will NOT see a elephant… cuz brain doesn’t see “NOT” at all… the POSITIVE sentences only work with hypnosis suggestions). Make sure you really MEAN it. Begin to count 1 to 10 and continue to suggest that you notice that it is working even before it reached 10. 10 is like a peak effect. When you’re done. Then you might want to state your intention again with number 10 in your mind. Then when you’re done… it’s best to hypnoize yourself out of that trance since it is most likely to stuck with you more rather than wake up immediately. By doing that, suggest yourself, “When I count backward to 1… I’ll be fully awake, alert, and full energized. I will remember everything.” When you get to 1, wake up.

Hope it works.

Also if you have troubles with deep trance, you can try hypnoizing yourself in a LD… it works very well too.

ahahah, but that’s the paradox. I can’t hypnotize myself to have LDs if I can’t have an LD first!

Hmm should I say it to myself or should I make a little tape… I’ve got a relaxation mp3 this british guy narrates… his british accent is really cool but he sounds really horny while he talks about relaxation.
I think I’ll start with talking to myself, and then make a recording while no one is home, wouldn’t want them looking at me funny. :nodnodwinkwink:

Do both Infection selfhypnosis and a tape also let that tape play at ehm times in morning when u still sleep not only when u lay relaxed.

And in an emergency just buy some lds from a ld shop!

Jeff

Ha ha ha you’re full of humor! You’re too funny! Anyways, hypnoizing won’t be any good if you don’t feel comfortable with that voice, so perhaps recording your own voice is a good idea, but I have no idea because I never tried any voice-related techniques since I’m deaf. I have to do it completely on my own.

Anyways good luck!

Okely dokely, here goes:
Straight from dummies.com, how to put yourself in trance!!

Wow, that’s like an extended version of everything DM7 said. Oh well. It’s for dummies, right?

Good version… it explains better than I. Oh yeah, you can also use “falling” technique to help you deepening your trance.

dm7.net/falling.gif is a animated image of my falling technique which works very well to deepen your trance. Remember that breathing is very important in meditation, hypnosis, etc. You have to breathe in a slowly relaxed way and exhale as if everything is to be let go. Just exhale, imagine that everything even your consciousness is being let go in your each exhale.

Note: Don’t ever force yourself to breath faster or slower than you feel you’re supposed to. Don’t stop yourself from getting enough of air or otherwise you will be awaken by dizziness and perhaps with some headaches. Just breath in a slowly relaxed way… you might find it very natural. Just go with the flow.

has any one tried to go into a lucid dream right frome hypnosis?

Yes Milod i do that in my wilds…i use selfhypnosis in wild tech.
But i combine it with meditation and trance breathing.
