I just seriously got scared and thought i was dreaming..

ok ill tell you guys something…

I was just sitting at my pc looking at some topics, and thought i’d do a RC… so asked myself “am i dreaming?” and really thought about it… then held my nose and i couldn’t breath. so then i thought “meh” and looked at the list of my Xbox games… going in order scrolling down next to my pc:

“timesplitters 2”
“lord of the rings”
“halo 2”
“brute force”
“tom clancys splinter cell”

then i done it again, got it last one at realised it said…

“tom clancys SPLINETA cell”

and in my head i said “OH MY FUCKING GOD” and started to get REAL scared.

I was, and still am saying to myself it is a mistake in the production of the game lettering…but ive NEVER noticed it before… because its suppost to be “splinter” cell not “splineta”

This seriously freaked me out… my heart started POUNDING because it was (obviously) so real lol…

That actually sounds like a pretty… cool… experience. To actually think for a short amount of time that you’re have a VERY realistic lucid dream? Of course, since I’ve never been in the situation, I can’t actually say I’d be excited and jumping out of windows.

I’ve had similar experiences, but it was before I knew about lucid dreaming and reality checks. I remember seeing a spider floating in what seemed to be thin air; there was nothing around it for a good twenty feet - above and around. It freaked me out a little. My hearted skipped a beat - like when you misjudge the number of stairs or think you see a shadowy figure out of the corner of your eye when you KNOW there is no one there.

…and for some reason or another, this reminds of the time we bought a toaster that had two of the same buttons for two obvious different features - I know, how many different features can a toaster have?! Anyway, my mom returned it for a ‘better’ one and I was pissed!

So I am not mistaken if I assume that the text actually says SPLINETA? That is first of all makes perfect sense, and it is interesting.
When we read we don’t have to look at each letter, we learn wordimages. This is why we can read txet taht is slleped wogrn wthiout much difficulty. The context also tells us what it is supposed to say without us having to look hard. For instance you wrote suppost when it is spelled supposed, which I did not notice until I reread it. Maybe you already knew this, I just think it’s interesting.

Hah, very true  lkie yuo alerady konw waht im saiyng dnot you?

its just like that, but yes it really says Splineta

Yes. I would have gotten scared though if the print hadn’t said splineta upon further investigation. I’d fear I was losing my senses. Ofcourse a little slipup like it would be quite interesting also.

I’ve had a similiar experience… Though mine turned out to be dream -_-

Sounds cool  I could imagine being in the same situation and would probably have reacted the same way

And when you are writing lkie tihs I was amzaed taht I cuodl atcaully rdea it. Wordimages… Awesome!

Actually, it would have been really cool if it said “splinter” Especially if it only said splinter after the 3rd or 4th time you checked it. That sort of thing has happened to me a couple of times… as long as it doesn’t happen every day I think it is pretty fun

Well you should always do multiple RCs before you’re sure it’s a dream - wouldnt want anyone jumping out of windows and trying to fly IRL

haha yes one time i plugged my nose but didnt plug it hard enough so i could easliyl breathe and i freaked out so i tried to fly but im like ohh im such an idiot =] :’(
