Keep failing WILD

I try wild too , my problem is that i just fall asleep (i think )
I lay down , try , and wake up the next morning remembering just a minute or so after feeling something strange.
What am i doing wrong?
Should i try mild?

well, you could try a (music aided)WILD in the morning, if you wake up early, you can put some music on or start counting, you’re allmost sure to get HI and (maybe) starting SP i got that the first 2 nights i tried it:o, i allso have the fact that i just fall asleep, but the musical aided WILD somewhat works, i just fall asleep, i’ll try listening somewhat harder or setting the music a bit harder it’ll work some day:D

What do you focus on during WILD, Pettertombos?

That would drive my family nuts :neutral:

Different things:
A song in my head , counting , my breath .
Not a regular thuing to focus .
Should i have one i always focus on?

hehe, i don’t put the music that loud, just so loud that you don’t fall asleep so easily

allso, if you put the music to loud, you’ll have severe trouble sleeping, i had the music on too loud today and it kept me awake till like 3:00 am, or so it seems

And my sister sleeps in the next room end she hears it , i think , my parents sleep in the room under mine

and put it just soft enough that you have to concentrate a bit to hear it

Ok think I will get desperado by the eagles or some pink floyd on a cd ans set it to repeat.

It depends on what you mean. If you mean you’re changing during the same WILD attempt, it’s not good. Moreover, if you fall asleep very quickly, you should focus on your thoughts (counting or repeating a sentence). In this case, it’s better than focusing on something you observe, like your breath or phosphenes.
If you mean you change the object you focus on from a night to another, why not? It don’t see any problem.

I find that repeating something is more successful than counting. Once, i planned to have a shared dream with a friend of mine. I told her that we will meet outside the trainstation near my house. I kept repeating " i am going to meet her outside the trainstation " until i fell asleep. Well, i didnt share a dream, but i did dream of a train station where i was trying to get to her but i couldnt :sad: . In anycase, repeating something over and over especially while you sleep, can increase your chances of remembering it if you slip into a ND . So if you say " I am dreaming " over and over until you fall asleep, you might remember at some point in your ND that you are dreaming.

In order for anything like this to work, you HAVE to be accpeting of it. For example, if you are asked to do something and you simply dont want to do it, then obviously making the request int he first place is useless. Same goes with autosuggestion. You have to be completely open and receptive of what you are sujjesting to yourself. Brain is the worst enemy of a person who wants to LD or AP or have a OBE . That is what i think. So when you repeat something, have belief in it. Dont be thinking, “lets see if this works” or " im not sure it will work but ill try anyways" . Have a more positive thought like “I KNOW it will work.” . This is how i had my first LD :smile:[/color]

lol, isn’t AP and OBE is the same thing?
so that’s what i’m doing wrong:p i keep thinking i’m doing it either wrong, incompletely or that it won’t work:P
