Meet the Ancestors
Suggested by: Aino, Brent Braten, Snape and others
This Quest you will travel through time to visit your ancestors. You can meet with your recent ancestors (grandparents/great-grandparents etc) or visit your ancestors from far back in history. Talk with them, see how they live.

To complete this Quest and earn your wings* Once you are lucid, travel through time to a point in the past

  • find your ancestor/s in this time
  • have a conversation with your ancestor/s
  • another way: just summon your ancestor/s without traveling through time.
  • optional: journey through time and visit ancestors from different periods.
  • Post your dream in this topic (a link to your DJ is allowed but you have to post in this topic that you have succeeded)

Please be very clear if you feel you have completed the Quest or want to try again - pasQuale will only give wings if you feel you have been successful in completing the Quest, the wings are a reward for yourself.

pasQuale will give everyone who earned it their wings at the end of this Quest, so please be patient

Time Travel Tips
To inspire you, here are some ideas, but use that what works for you (and maybe you can post some tips in the topic as well, how you would do it)* Find an elevator and push the button with the desired year/date you want to travel to. When you get out, you will be there.

  • Use a time travel machine/ any time travel device from any movie/SF story/etc that you like
  • Use a stargate
  • Summon your ancestor through a mirror or other means

Preparations/Incubation
Before going to sleep or while doing your LD incubation technique (WILD/WBTB/MILD, etc):* Set your mind for this Quest

  • Ponder on how you will travel through time.
  • Ponder on your destination.
  • Ponder on how you will find ancestor/s.
  • Ponder on what you want to discover when you find them.
  • Ask yourself to have a clear memory of the dream once you wake up.

Post your attempts, whether you feel you succeeded or not, in this topic :smile:

do i have to have proof that these ancestors existed? like a family tree or something?

I have a question. May I try to get these ancestors in our time instead of me trying to travel to their time?

This should be intresting. Possibly easier than last months quest.

i remember when I saw one of my ancestors in a dream, but it was an ND :cool_laugh: and before I joined.

Now /me is gonna try again :woo:

i have two points to make.

  1. This should be fun, my great great great great great grandfather (or something like that) was a millionaire. but then my great great great great grandfather married a scottish woman so he got taken off the will.

  2. Happy Canada Day

I’ve not been able to consciously LD yet, but the first night after discovering about LDing and reading alot about it I had a dream where I met my grandparents sitting in a casino. They were both looking down towards the ground, and i then (in the dream) remembered reading about seeing people that have past away, and then recognising it is a dream… So when i saw my grandpa it clicked for me that it’s a dream, but i also woke up right after…!

So… Did i complete the quest? :tongue:

Yup it was this month, but didn’t do it on purpose… They just appeared in my dream, so don’t know if I’ve earned the wings. Haven’t been able to LD yet, so that’s why i’m asking :tongue: hehe… It happened randomly, so i don’t know if i’ve earned the wings. Would like to, of course :content:
