Hello and welcome all to LC 66
Your TM (TaskMaster) for this challenge is me, @pasQuale
This challenge will have 3 tasks, announced weekly
You have a week to complete each task.
As soon as the first task has been posted, the LC has officially started (meaning: points can be earned).
I will try to be consistent with the time of day I post them. As long as there is no new task posted, you can earn points toward the running one.
Points
Points are cumulative and add up like this:
Have a lucid dream: 10 points
Complete the current task in said LD: 10 points
Reach your personal goal: 10 points
Scoring
No points will be given for non-lucid experiences. (after all this is the LD challenge).
If you haven’t managed to complete the task entirely in your LD, you will still get points, at the TM’s discretion.
Points can only be earned during the running task. If you have a LD in which you complete a previous task, you only get the LD points.
To keep it fair, you can only claim points for reaching your personal goal once during the entire challenge.
Submission
Submission of a dream to be considered for points:
Post in this topic (the one you are currently reading xD) that you had a dream and what you did (please do not post full dream reports in this topic)
Add a LINK to your LD4all DJ where that dream is. the TM will then read the dream and judge for points.
Since personal goals are, well, personal xD, YOU are the one that decides if it counts as reaching it. Just mention so in your submission. TM will follow your decision.
Example: Magnus’ personal goal: see a unigon. Challenge task 1: fly through a window.
Magnus’ dream: I had a LD and I saw an unigon through a window.
Submitted in challenge topic: I had a LD (link to DJ), I saw an unigon! I claim personal goal points
Points: LD points 10, personal goal, 10, partial completion of task (see a window) 2. total points 22
Awards
LC 66 Winner Badge: highest score
LC 66 Participant Badge: awarded to participants who have submitted at least one dream for each task or earned points during the challenge.
good question! you can start a DJ in the Dream Journal section. If you don’t currently have one, you can start one by creating a new topic and name it something like “boccher’s DJ” or whatever you want to name it. And then just post your dreams in there. It is a private category, meaning only forum members can read it.
I get the joy of claiming first points! And.. boy.. doing the task twice? On the first night? LUCKY ME. (I doubt I’ll be this lucky again…)
In Cornelia Kisses Herself, I become lucid, remember the task, find a mirror, go through it, kiss myself, and explore the space on the other side.
In Cornelia Creates the Mirror Cube, I become lucid, remember the task, find a mirror, go through it, turn it into an insane space to be inside, and experience I N F I N I T Y.
I would only count the first “two” as one as I basically DEILD’d in between them and if you open up separate DEILDs to be separate dreams I can probably net four or five in one night if I get lucky.
Awesome! My goal for this challenge was to even get 1 point, so I’m already pretty content with myself!
Also: I had another lucid dream tonight. This time I remembered the whole task. I found a mirror and tried to go through it, but the mirror material was hard, I couldn’t get through. (See Night Owl DJ)
Do you have any tips for that, Q, as an experienced mirror traveler?
I have never gone through a portal before. I did once open a door with the intent to open a different place there, but it didn’t work, just the usual room was behind it. So I seem stuck with my own normal life expectations.
I see:
1 LD - 10 points
remember task: 1 pt
find mirror: 2 pt
try to get through: 2 pt
total: 15 points
tips:
you gotta really believe you can do it. What works best for me is to just not think about it when doing it. There is no mirror. There is only a dream and you can shape that in whatever way you want.
don’t look at what you are doing. when pressing your hand through it, just look the other way and let it happen
You can say out loud to yourself:“this is my dream and I can step through a mirror if I want” (or something similar)
for incubation: in your incubation already have the trust and belief that you will be able to go through the mirror.
Long story short, had an LD, went through a mirror but the scene disintegrated before I could see anything really. Lately my LD frequency and recall have been receding somewhat so I’m happy it didn’t take an entire week to LD lmao.
