I was wondering. When you are in a LD can you make certain devices and then store them on your body and will always have them on you when you become lucid again?
I want to make a magical dream sword and a magical dream crystal next time I become Lucid. I will store the sword in a case around my thigh and the dream cystal in my dream pocket. That would be incredibly badass if they would stay there the next time I became Lucid.
The magical sward will no doubt be a instrument of defence and also just an instrument of ultimate magic that I can use while exploring my dream relm. The cystal is mainly just because I love the idea of always having a magical dream crystal. A crystal that would give me power, magic, and when I bring it out would restore my lucidity if it were fading. A crystal of ultimate lucidity.
Not sure if this has been asked before. If everyone tells me that it doesnt work I am still going to try it because it would be incredibly awsome. My ultimate project would be to build a magic dream house and a magic dream bike. What do you think?
I believe it is possible, on this forum is one guy (that I know of) who has a whole empire, not to mention all kinds of weaponry.
I have similar goals myself as you do, the crystal part at least, only it would be an amulet. First, though, I will need to learn how to create thing like that.
I remember hearing of a few people who have done this before (especially with dream clothing), and I really want to try it myself. I get the feeling that “storing” items on your person may not work immediately for the first few attempts, but after a while your mind should just expect them to be there, and BAM. You’ve got an item that’s always with you.
My personal goal is to have a trench coat (sort of Matrix style) for when I’m dreaming; I could just reach in and pull out whatever I happened to need, and it wouldn’t be heavy/limiting like a real trench coat.
underscore is right about the whole ‘expecting it to be there’ bit.
so yes, this is likely to be possible, if you view your dreams as all taking place in a realm of some kind.
you also need a strong sense of your dreaming body.
you could probably cultivate this while awake by drawing it or something.
I love this idea, and I’m going to use it once I manage to have lengthy, consistent LD’s.
I particularily like the thought of storing items in a house that you create (I know there’s a topic about houses in LD’s), because I’ve designed my own house for future LD’s. So I think it’d be cool to shove something in a closet in one dream, and have it still be there the next time.
