I was just reading how with using self meditation, by suggesting things to your unconcious mind and stuff like that you can slowely reach you goals through that. I was just wondering if in an LD you can do the same thing, but in a more literal sense- like say you wanted to be more out going or whatever, if you acted in your LD like you want to in RL would that slowely change you? And even further, if you wanted to increase an actual skill such as speaking another language, could you somehow use an LD to help with that? (like if you summoned your “hispanic” dream spirit to teach you or something like that.) If you have any experience with this, then please reply.
I do not have any experience with it but I can tell you all of your questions can be answered with a big ‘yes’.
It’s not really meditation, what you describe is more like autosuggestion.
Concerning your questions, it’s possible to prepare oneself to face the stress of an exam or a conference though lucid dreaming. It’s also possible to enhance his own reactions toward a RL event. The german psychologist Paul Tholey said it was even possible to enhance his motor skills in LD’s, for instance by training and perform difficult figures while skating, skiing, etc. in LD’s.
