Nature of Space-Time

If everything were to stop, every singe piece of matter in the entire universe would just halt, would time be said to still exist?

Post thoughts/comments

Time is an illusion created by man, time would not stop in the universe, motion would.

If everything were to stop–every atom and particle–by my understanding then everything would reach absolute zero in terms of temperature.

Beyond that…well, the results would be unimaginable. But honestly, I don’t think time would stop, unless time stopping was the cause of everything stopping, in which case, again: unimaginable.

time would wouldnt stop.
and time does exist. only the irreversible stream change from moment to the next is an illusion, and that is not (all of) time

if everything was motionless relatively to everything else, then there is no difference between the two states of being in time and being outside time. Thus the question of whether or not time stops becomes non-falsifiable and thus scientifically meaningless.
if everything is motionless then so are all the atoms and electrons in your brain and i don’t think you would still be percieving anything. Even if you believe you have a soul, there would be no input from the outside world into your mind, because light and sound waves and everything would be motionless too.
Also would that mean that there is no longer interaction between matter… because e.g. there is always the force of gravity between any two bodies or particles… which makes it impossible for things to remain motionless…
