Past Life Expiriences (Archetypal Memory)

So you mean, I’m all of my past lives put together?

This is fun. When I learn astral project / lucid dream, I wanna throw a big “me party” with all my other incarnations.

Lol! That would be fun!

My mum says i’m an ‘old soul’ which sounds funny btu what she means is she thinks that i have lived many lives. I believe in re-incarnation but fairly loosely. I mean it’s nice to think more will happen after death than just us decompose! But i guess that is all spirituality of any sort is, just looking for more to life. I also belive in karma, the way thinsg go! It is also nice to not have to retaliate and know that justice will come…and ofcourse this keeps us all nice na dsharp, because if we do anything bad, it will come back to us!

I guess these belifs are a little silly to me since i am quite scientific and i beleive fully in the big bang and such (not that this has anything to do with human creation) and yet i belive in re-incarnation, which is almost scientifically impossible. I am agnostic, i dont know what i belive sometimes really. I mean science explains thinsg so nicely, yet i still think re-incarnation is real.

That would be fun to have a LD party with all my incarnations…(Note to self; when i accomplish LDing attempt to hole Me Party…and invite NightOwl as VIP)

I dont belive in all this, i think what the woman in bed says is very true, That as the world popukation is always growning, we couldnt al be reincarnations, its just immposible, unless one soul splits into more bodies each time, like a cell in your body

Lil-P i see where your coming from…i am a scientific one too!

But spirituality is not as simple as science and physics. It is much more complex. You see the fact about population growing is true, but it is too literal…spirituality is not logical! I mean an almighty being that created the earth, and a virgin mother! (No offense!) is not exactly the most beleivabel story! But people sincerly belive that…and in that case it is true to them!

It’s hard to explain…i mean if the christian god isn’t real (which i don’t beleive he is) then people have in essence made him real by just beliveing! Even scientologists (Oh dear!) have made their beliefs real by just beleiving it!

Like love, if we think it’s there then it is!

hi all,

this is my first post yeh!

well where to begin. -

Among many things I do I am a trained “therapist” who reduces the trauma in painful incidents, thus
erasing the pain out of memories(mental image pictures) by guiding the individual through these memories again and again until they are not only comfortable with them but are actually very very aware of how that incident (left unresolved) has effected them. (they have been trying the resolve it unconsciously all their life! - this links in with why people always go around in the same games, as they are stuck unconsciously creating them.) - anyway getting well beyond past lifes here.

taking people through painful incidents usually starts like this. I may ask "do you have any unusual aches or pains or any random bizzare body feelings etc…

one lady I was working with said, yes I always have this itch, its right where I can’t scratch on the left side of my back. So I asked her to return to where she last experienced the sensation. she did and I asked her to focus on the pain and tell me about it. She went into detail about it how it was hot and burning etc, - at this time I knew i had the line of the root emmory in sight as she could confront the pain in the memory. so I asked very quickly if there is an earlier incident of this sensation, and prompted her for the first “flash picture” that popped up… she sort of stuttered and said yes, its being branded! I was branded! he is poking me with it! I am a slave! - This incident went on and was quite pivitol to the individuals current life scenario. Now you may say that this was just imagination. But with a properly done session the sensation will vanish never to return. This lady has since never had the itch on her back.

It is the same for every person that I work with. So if you have any bizzare aches, pains sensations etc then they can be linked to mental image pictures from your past, and that includes your whole past time track, - however long that may be. And believe me incidents can be dated to go back a long time, - how long has this universe been around for? and before that?

oh anothe thing,
I am firmly against others telling you what your past lives are, and Im against hypnosis and self hypnosis, however well meaning The hypnotist, by making someone rely on a lessened state of awareness in order to view “truth” such as hypnosis utilizes, this promotes such a state in everyday life even slightly, and with prolonged use can be damaging. It is common that people in my profession need to undo the damage caused by hypnotism. Everything you have ever experienced can be recalled by you, pain is the barrier in the way of it. remove the pain associated with your memories and they will become more easily accessed. - this is why pastlives are not often remembered by many people, as their previous death was a very traumatic experience something that the individual may find difficult re-experiencing and hence shuts off from.

i guess it is possible. i mean why not? but i really want to meet someone who remembers their past life.

Well, I remember some. Some through hypnosis, some through meditation. But since time is an illusion, what you call past lives is actually happening right now.

Hi!
Firstly, I just posted my past life regression lucid dream here : https://community.ld4all.com/t/past-life-regression-lucid-dream-thoughts/29147

The skeptic part of me tells me that past lives are a fantasy created from our fear of death… in the same way that any afterlife myth exists. It’s a way for us to cope with how short and meaningless our lives are. When people experience “past lives” in regression or dreams, they’re in fact experiencing a mixture of fantasy, subconsciously learnt images and facts and symbolism. Somebody with a specific pain or scar will manufacture a story to fit with it, some “explanation” for why they are the way they are. People underestimate the power of the imagination… I mean, if you write, or create characters when acting, then you are capable of creating an imaginary life… or does it mean that every character I dream up is in fact a past version of myself? I don’t think so. We are capable of great fabrication and imagery, and shouldn’t attribute everything to something more mystical like a past life memory or a message from spirits. Your mind is an amazing, powerful tool.

Then again, what if what we are doing is tapping to the universal consciousness - not viewing a life that WE have lived but just picking up on some memory, some ghost or echo - chosen randomly or perhaps the memory of a passing spirit? Some beliefs state that we are all One and the same, God’s mind etc, so surely we have been and will be EVERYONE, regardless of a time continuum - I’ve even considered deja vú to be when we meet someone that we have already been, rather than someone we knew in a past life!

However, I too want to believe in past lives. Why? Am I afraid of becoming nothing once my physical body dies? You bet. I’ll admit this. But… can matter be created or destroyed? If our soul does exist and has a physical presence, then something must happen to those atoms once we die… unless they simply disband and become one with the universe, in which case little parts of us will end up in some way reincarnating. Alternatively, they stay together and try to find a new home. Perhaps all the lost souls are just waiting until they can reincarnate again - maybe they have a time limit or wait to find a suitable host? … reincarnation is a very popular theory across cultures, so you do have to wonder about why.

As for “memories” later being proved to match up with facts, I think media sensationalism and confirmation bias are guilty parties in a lot of cases. Ie everything remembered which doesn’t turn out to be true is ignored. I did go to a workshop on regression once, though, and we were told some amazing stories of “memories” which turned out to be based on subconsciously learned things. However, the therapist admitted that some cases do seem to be genuine, although when people start rattling on about how they were a princess or famous figure he rolls his eyes and thinks “you too, huh?”…

“Scientifically there is no proof for past lives” - well. No. There is nothing in pre-existing scientific theory (as far as I know) which can be used to come up with a valid explanation, nor is there a fool proof way to test it. But if you take the scientific METHOD - proposing a hypothesis, testing it, analysing the data… well, case studies and qualitative data are valid forms of scientific data (in the social sciences, anyway, psychology IS a science!!!) - so the cases in which people have accurately described times, places and people that they never could have known are case studies into the theory of reincarnation. Sure, there is no way we can build a soul-detecting time machine to prove whether they were just very lucky or possibly read some historical records once and forgot about it, but the “facts” that they somehow knew are there… surely this is in some way scientific? People really need to stop seeing science as their new religion. The scientific method is so far the best way to prove or disprove things, but scientific THEORY is not gospel; as you know from history, things that are held as truth can later be proved wrong.

Well…
The human mind is a very complex…thingy.
Life my be what we make.
And i think it’s possible to choose if you’re reincarnated…
I mean,when you’re a baby,it’s not all like “OMG WOW I WAS BORN!Now i will start a life.”.Probably because you’re not capable of thinking that way.
But a human’s life is too short…or too long.
Will i still remember this post when i’m 50?
But i feels there’s just more to it,than this simple life we have.
So yeah,i believe in the reincarnation

I am not spiritual, I am a scientifically minded person and I chalk up most of the strange things that occur in my vicinity to abilities of the human brain that have not been proven yet (ie: windows opening near me and I have a few other oddities).
I ride and train horses and lately I have been doing some pretty intense training with a group of stallions. We work them in a huge barn and now that it is hot outside most of the trained horses are in their stalls during the day. I was working one of the boys on Tuesday and the other horses were all up in their stalls. Each time I passed the stall of an extremely pregnant mare I saw a woman out of the corner of my eye where the mare was standing and did not see the mare. Each time I passed I turned my head and there was only the mare. I have NEVER seen anything before and only physical things have happened around me. The woman was dressed in gray and somewhere in her 40’s-50’s. She was wearing a long covering dress with a cowl over her hair. When working with green horses you never take your attention off of them so I had no time to stop and try to take a better look.
One of my more spiritual friends said something about Epona or reincarnation. I do not know this mare’s history or age as I have not worked closely with her. Nothing else extraordinary has happened at the farm that I know of.

true enough and true that, but what do you suppose the consciousness thought before it was a baby, a good while after it died ?

its like you are counting, 1, 2, 3, … you fall asleep
then you might remember and go " 4 , 5, 6 "

this entire discussion is between the lines :
you are born, you “die” but

if you die how can you be born ? and here all the ideas and theories and debates and realizations take place ,

and the question is what is between birth and death,

what i wonder right now is : how many beings on this earth have total access to past life awareness in a useful and positive manner?

there are hypnotic suggestions , confusing stories with what has happened,
false memories as it were

there’s a reason for this and i’d love to see the intellect summarize it in a proper manner :

science and mysticism have also a gulf between them,
for instance, these devices, are and have been :
plants, crystals,
chants, mantras,
songs, stories, parables,
and the sciences around them were either mystical or rational, such as hatha yoga being a very rational and deliberate and perfect science for purifying mind and body, and when one follows it, they start to perceive the mystical,
whereas say,
tribal shamans with colorful legends and stories, are mystical,

we do not have a machine because it would be totally redundant, the sages of yore have given us tools and methods and procedures, sciences, paths, and sometimes not very clear ones and sometimes flawlessly obvious ones, in order that any being if they truly are serious, may become able to perceive directly the “mystical”

and the mystical is only mystical because a huge gap exists between ordinary and extraordinary consciousness of man ,

if we were a tribe of 42 rest assured we would all be in the spiritual and physical planes often, the shaman would take us
we are a tribe of billions and so most people do not experience anything other than the material,
and money and profit and dogma often times are clouds in the way of the sun, because yes you can be a fake psychic, and a real one, too.

the goal is to integrate and find purity and quality within the dissonance of this vast mosaic of reality, and i wish for our mosaic to make a smiley face, and for eac portion of it to be smiling in its own perfect and varied way.

edit : mind / body technology such as brainwave entrainment, and the “God helmet” do exist, so perhaps these count as a “soul detecting machine” or viable ways for people to have these experiences and awareness,

Quick question about reincarnation.

What were we before the first lifeform got here? :eh:

I believe in reincarnation. However I think that only some people will live as a human again, and no one will live more then 3 lives.
