Post Election Support Group - Part 2

Just as I predicted, the election is close, and Kerry is already talking about suing.

God love the democrats, because I cannot.

He has 3300 lawyers in just one state alone.

I think most of the Kerry voters are just trying to remove Bush … not elect Kerry.

Blame Bush … it’s been during his 2 runs for candidacy that have been challenged … as they should be. Any election that see’s this idiot fit for president should be taken to court!
It’s insane that a “war criminal” is even eligable for presidency. Has America forgot he took us to war under false pretenses!

… a side note … the 11 states that were presented with an amendment to BAN gay marriage voted FOR it! That’s ABSURD! :grrr: America needs Kerry. The amendment will never pass congress, but Kerry would never let this intolerance create homosexuals as “second class citizens”

“Dennis Kucinich On The Federal Marriage Amendment”

 bush is ahead  I woke up hoping to find the results in on CNN - but now it is al uncertain like previous year and kerry is behind

and even though all votes aren’t in yet and counted bush wants to announce himself winner already?!

afraid that he still can lose and thinks that if i tells himself he is the winner now, the whole country will believe him? (like last time?)

[edit]

“don’t put your fait in an exit poll”, they now say on CNN - the results aren’t the real result but the exit polls - so not the real votes… so now i’m really curious to the real results.

ah guess we have to wait.

“the misuse of exit polls is to look at them and lead to conclusions” (quote from CNN they now broadcast)

and bush wants to declare victory over this. I find that highly suspicous.

btw: cnn.com/ for a map with all the results (in case you didn’t know already  )

[/eidt]

Liberals in the United States need to realize they are never going to win national elections by being the party of collective hatred. I am not opposed to considering more socialization, but I don’t trust people who constantly try to subvert the rules and spew hatred. I didn’t vote for Kerry because I didn’t trust him.

If you really want to know who has a future in national elections in the democratic party, look to Illinois. Barrack Obama inspired me, a lifelong conservative, with his speech at the DNC earlier this year. If that is possible, then anything is possible for the guy. I think it will be Clinton/Obama in the white house in '08, and if it weren’t for the Clinton part, I would probably vote for that ticket.

My real hope for '08, though, is Secretary Rice. She has a doctorate, is a good communicator, and has a backbone.

Bush is ahead by enough where there is almost no chance kerry could win. If theres 99% chance your going to win, nothing wrong with saying you won. Everyone talking as if he has won, though no one wants to be the first one to say it untill their 100% sure. Mostly because it was so close last time they don’t want to make a mistake, even though they pretty much know.

The exits polls by the way where saying kerry was ahead but the votes counted is what shows bush ahead.

ah ok.

 :help: then

For me, for what i hear and see - i was really hoping for kerry because i really think his foreign policy will be better than bush’s.

nevada voted for bush 5 votes - bush now 254 to 242.

Would it be so hard to make a new poll system where they would just actually count every vote and then see which candidate got more as a total in the whole country. Sounds simple enough to work huh?

 :help: :bored: <— and this is how i feel about the current results.
Hail neo-concervatism.

I agree with Davion. All the hatred really turned me off of kerry. I think the better man won and I hope kerry is big enough to accept it and not try to drag it out, when it would be clearly pointless to.

i wonder what would happen if none of the candidates reaches the 270? Or isn’t that possible?

fix

Bush won far more votes than Kerry all over the country, so proportional representation would not have changed the result.

I’ve got a few good American freinds over here in the UK and the BBC has been focusing very heavily on the US people and the mechanics of politics and I’ve been truely shocked by what I’ve seen. Its so sad.

CNN is only to catious to say anything. But statistically it is virtually impossible that out of the 200,000 uncounted votes Ohio, 170,000 belongs to Kerry.

Forget about the lawyers. Kerry needs to congratulate the bastard and then get some sleep!

Concensus reveals that the majority of americans feel safer from terrorist attacks with Bush and they are uncertain with Kerry. Nonetheless, Bush has won re-election and we americans will simply have to live with it.
I believe that these issues hurt the Democratic party.
Gay marriage issue
Affirmative action
The fact that america has not been attacked since 9-11.

Kerry has called Bush to concede
Bush has been re-elected.
I’m so embarrassed for this country.

Well the people have spoken and it seem some predictions where wrong. Bush won by 3 million votes.

Now What…

It is a sad day for the world…I am ashamed to live in this country. I no longer feel safe here at all. I feel less safe with bush being president than i would feel with kerry. What is wrong with this countrrrrry? Gosh i can’t wait to move to canada after college.

Impeachment?
but would that mean Cheney? :panic:

“The head of a company vying to sell voting machines in Ohio told Republicans in a recent fund-raising letter that he is “committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year.””
commondreams.org/headlines03/0828-08.htm

These are the machines that leave NO paper trail.

hmm, I’m curious if large magnets do the same damage to voting machines as computers. … a large enough magnet could totally wipe your harddrive from many feet/meters away! How could that be “re-counted”
Leaving paper ballots behind when voting leaves some tangible evidence … much easier to spot tampering then.
The electronic is much easier, but it reduces my confidence in voting.

I say we start mass riots around the united states and over throw the government and appoint Dennis Kucinich as president.
