I tried using the MILD “I will be lucid all night” and even if I repeated it before going to sleep I acutally fell asleep quite fast And I woke up 2 times during the next 2 hours and I acutally remembered 2 dreams too. I acutally forgot the MILD a few times when I was falling asleep but since it was so short and simple I managed to get it back But then after the 2 hours I couldn’t fall asleep again, it took about 2 hours before I could fall asleep and I had to stop using MILD or I would probably have gotten only 2 hours of sleep I’ll have to try this again tonight and see what happens
Because then we’d know it could be done. Something that large… if it were proven it’d make it onto the news. Onto TV. And I haven’t seen anything about it on TV… or in any book or website I’ve read.
Unless it was being kept secret. But then we’d be going into conspiracy theories…
Has ANYTHING about LDs ever made it onto TV in anyways? Not here in california I know that for sure. Pick up a book and read something from the one woman author… I forget her name but she has an LD laboratory also and she said that the code test worked for her. For some reason the name Garfield is ringing a bell, but that’s not it. I’ll try to find it before long.
LD’ing a very specific part of dreams and few people see what’s so amazing about them (that’s the people who have never had one ).
However, everyone has normal dreams, and if we proved we could share dreams… do you know what that would mean?
LD’ing would become mroe famous. Freinds would start meeting in dreams. Lovers would have a safer place to have sex. You could give your enemies nightmares. You could discover your enemies secrets. We could discover where Bin Larden was hiding by going into his dreams. Enemies of America could go into the presidents dreams and find the most secret facts about the country. Research would go into how shared dreaming is possible - how to protect yourself against it. (serious) research would would go into psychics. And then into ghosts. Shared dreaming, if proven, would change the world.
If shared dreaming was proven… trust me, it’d be on TV.
I don’t know, even if you could “prove” it, most people would still dismiss it since it’s so “out there”. It’s like if you could prove the existance of ghosts, most people would scoff w/o even checking out your research.
If I could say I’d proved ghosts exist, people would believe.
I’ve had people scoff at the idea of LD’ing until I told them it was proven. If you can say you’ve scientifially proven something, people will believe you . If they didn’t, we’d still think the world was flat…
I think you cannot convince people about such things as shared dreaming. You can do that by teaching them. They can test it for themselves.
If a conservative scientist saw a proof of shared dreaming I think he would start to examine possible errors and he would try to prove that it was false. Even if he found out that it had been true, it would take very much time. Then other scientist wouldn’t believe him… .The way would be full of obstacles so it couldn’t spread. On the other hand military would use it but would keep it secret. I think these are mechanisms which don’t allow us to jump great steps in the applied science.
So I don’t expect to see such things on TV. To be more correct I don’t expect to see them in reliable TV programmes, serious news chanells… . Anyway if you could it would be considered as hoax by famous science journals. Or what is more likely they wouldn’t deal with it at all.(See the issue with cold fusion).
Shared dreaming must be proven through average people.
If a lot of people test it and it works for them then the society will slowly recieve the idea. Probably consercative scientist can be made to belive it but it is not likely. Scientist from new generations will be more open and probably it will be natural for them to research such topics. Then they can adopt their results and start to form a new science topic around it… and so on.
I think shared dreaming is easy to test once somebody begins to LD at will.So it has a serious chance to spread.
A nice quote from “Exploring the world of lucid dreaming” by Stephen Laberge or just EWLD for short
I’m thinking that soon there will be more people being able to LD at will just because Freecube and R3TRO proved it’s easy to do it
Actually it does provide some kind of a drive indeed for others to reach that level (something Im aiming at too, LD @ will). Yet there have been many before us who already could do this so it’s not really a new goal for me. Yet perhaps it is to most of the forum members here, which is a good thing probably.
Mindfield: If someone didn’t believe you, all you’d have to do was go into their dream. Lets face it - no matter how skeptical a scientist is, ocne you’ve done that to him two or three times, he’ll believe you.
And facts do prove what is real. How do you think lucid dreaming was proven - the data was shown to the skeptical scinetists, and now LD’ing is accepted throughout the scientific world. The same would have been done with shared dreaming.
Remember, scientists look for the truth - not for what they believe.
Haha, you wish! There are so many bunches, also of scientists, that are so extremely dogmatic in their views that it isnt even funny anymore. Besides, LD is a lot different from SD, because the 1st doesnt involve any spiritual stuff, SD does! And that is something, some scientists just wont believe, even though you would slap them blue with the evidence. Luckily not all scientists are like that…
