I sleep about 12 hours a night since |'ve been taking an antipsychotic, any experience with such drugs? How do SSRI:s and antipsychotics affect dreaming? Can I practice lucid dreaming while takig those medicines? I actually got burned out on weed… I had a bad trip and a number of flash-backs ever since, and I have been taking ‘zyprexa’. Ever heard of it? Now I often have nightmares and sleep uncommonly much. My dreams are very vivid, but I wouldn’t say they are lucid. I see a connection between the medicine I take and my vivid dreams (often nightmares). Is it dangerous for me to practice lucid dreaming? What about sedatives - how do they affect the brain? I used to have sedatives for about 2 years, did I damaged my brain and my sleep?

There is nothing dangerous about lucid dreaming.
but if you are on antipsychotic medication for a reason … it is wise to ask if there is any information about practicing LDing while taking it.
