I’m aware of the downtime…
my provider sent me this:

We apologize for the inconvenience, but the NOC has been experiencing some network problems and this is the cause of the slowness/outage. They are having trouble with one of their core switches, and unfortunately they do not have an ETA on when they will have this fixed. We expect them to be able to fix the problem within the next 2 -3 hours, so please check after this period and let us know if you are still having trouble.
