Wonder what happens when I try to talk to god in my Lucid Dreams.
Lucid Dreaming + Faith = Greatest prayer
I suppose this is possible, but only if God IS real and what if he’s just a DC in your dream? It would be easier to talk to someone we know that is/was real…

I think it would be most likely to be a DC. And even if it was just a DC it would probably be a very pleasant experience, say something like you sitting on a hill with god next to you, and there’s a sunset, and you’re just having a very nice chat about things, about your life, etc.
It may however depend on how you imagine him/it.
I mean if your God is one that accepts only christians/or muslims/or jews/etc. and relentlessly sends others to hell for an eternity, and you only believe in him because you fear him not that you really believe in him and realize him as the Source,
well then he might not be a great DC.
I think I personally would get some sort of a fulfilment feeling when God is in my dream. If you ever experienced love in a dream then you know what I mean.
Well if you haven’t, it’s something like newborn love in real life + all that excitement, you know… that ‘butterflies in your stomach’ feeling you get, but 4 times stronger. This probably doesn’t make sense for those who haven’t experienced it themselves, it’s really hard to explain.
By this you mean just talking to god not making a representation of him appear in the dream?
It would be a good prayer and an offering up of the gift of LD since it could have been used to do a lot of other things.
But I can’t see it being any better really than just praying well when awake because being lucid is just awareness.
Man, you must have some intense praying going on! All I would say, is that of the few lucid dreams I’ve had, they were extremely vivid, and almost more real than real life, and subsequently, every sense is increased tenfold in terms of sensitivity, with every flavour, image and sound being almost a brand new experience, like that of a baby’s. Subsequently, prayer would probably be way more intense in lucid dreams, just because the senses are more sensitive than in waking life. Besides, you’d probably get an answer from God that is more obvious than in waking life, like a very clear voice. This is all speculation though. I’ve heard God when awake before, and I’ve sensed His presence, which was very intense, but I would assume that, following my logic, it would be more intense in lucid dreams.
I like this thread. It made me smile.
thats a really good point
well, i don’t know if it could be a DC or not, but i had a dream about it once…
i wasn’t really talking to Him, He was talking to me… i don’t remember what He said but He was brawling with me. it was like a very powerful voice coming from the skies.
It could be God speaking to you, but most likely it will be a DC. Your mind will make up something that you interpret as God. A test will be to see what you think you saw/heard and compare it to other people’s account. Since God is unchanging, I doubt He would be different in other people’s dreams if it was actually Him. If it were a DC on the other hand, it can change. I bet that we will all interpret Jesus close to the same way though, due to all the pictures we’ve seen over our lifetime.
