The afterlife is like a lucid dream

I guess, yeah…

You mean inner life like, start to hallucinate another physical Earthbound existence or just whatever came to mind–like a dream brought to life?

Or maybe another earthbound existance IS whatever came to mind.

That would kinda be like reincarnation, except you arn’t in your physical body anymore.

…or maybe we are all just living in a reincarnated state, and we have all died already made up this world

dun, dun, duuun

Why would I make up this world :eh: I’m really disappointed in myself -.-

Me to God: “I want a refund on this life! You’ve created us with severely limited capabilities, and the laws of physics don’t work with my lifestyle!”

Wait–would that mean that we’re not lucid and that once we find lucidity we could…nah

well, better luck next time i suppose

I’d at least like some background music appropriate to the situation and my attitude at any given moment :eh:

And RESET button for those times I do something stupid

Music and reset button. That does sound like heaven. Icoudl go for some of that right now.

Actually :uh: I think you can get that stuff at Wal-Mart…

Oh! And 32 oz Slurpee  Heaven just wouldn’t be Heaven without a 32 oz Slurpee…that never empties

My 7-11 Heaven :cloud9:

mmm or a never ending cigarette

reviving legendary thread! (toasting in legendary bread!)

anyway, i found this on… 4chan O_o…

“The Scientific and Rationalistic Case for Life after Death”

part 1 or 4: youtube.com/watch?v=qVtHBEZb … ed&search=

take from it what you will.

I found this video VERY interesting, true or not.

here’s the best part: In part 3 they start talking about stuff like changing your body, and different laws of physics

Sounds like a massive shared dream. Although it does NOT sound like a SLD. But then again, only few people KNOW about LDing, so eh, who knows?

edit: at the end of part 4, he repeats the question of “do we play our sport in the other world” and he got the reply “Mike, when you get here, you will have so much to do that you will soon get tired of chasing after a ball…”

moved into The afterlife is like a lucid dream otherwise we could have got two topics that were only slightly different in focus :moogle:
Hey!

Anyone already thought about it? Wouldn’t it be wonderful if after death you would come into an eternal LD, maybe even with all other people you loved that passed away…

This idea reminds me to the movie Vanilla Sky ^^

Best regards,
bravsein

I’m christian in the loosest possible way. I believe in God and Jesus, and always will, and only because as a kid I was totally brainwashed, and I’ve tried to not believe, but It’s too hard (I’m not telling my kids about religion until they can choose for themselves). And I believe in Heaven and Hell. That’s it. I can’t stand the thought of living in Heaven for all eternity, it’s such a dull place where all you do is worship god. I believe Hell is actually an alternative for people who don’t want to just worship god. In fact, I believe most christians go to a Heaven-esque Hell, where God’s there, but It’s whatever they believe heaven will be like. I think Hell is whatever you want it to be, and for me, it’s a very positive, Lucidic Reality. You can do whatever you want to. I only worry for people who believe in nothing after death. It would be just miserable (If they could even feel, mind you) Because I believe people living in a hell-like Hell, will someday realize they don’t have to be there. These are just my opinions…(And BTW, I’ve Loved that movie for such a long time, it’s one of my favorites, and that’s what I think Hell is like)

If you want to deprogram yourself from the twisted christian belief’s just watch the first part of the movie called zeitgeist which you can find on google or youtube.

I’ve been watching a lot of video’s on peoples Near Death Experiences. In almost all of them they report leaving their body and seeing themselves lying on the bed, then start floating upwards through the roof and into the sky, then a bright light appears and they enter a tunnel and start floating towards this light. The light resonates the feeling of love, they no longer feel the pain they were in and just feel the love this light is giving off. They usually hear a voice saying “come towards the light, you are at peace now” or something similar. Often they will get into this light and be greeted by people they knew who had already passed. Usually they will have a small chat something along the lines of “you can’t stay here, it isnt your time yet” then get slammed back into their body when it is revived, feeling once again the tremendous pain they were in before.

I have read some other accounts of OBE’s and such, and what is believed to happen after you go into this light and meet your friends/family who have passed, is that you have a few choices you can make, you can either spend time with them in a reality where thought creates matter (like a shared lucid dream) or you can visit the more dense materialistic real-world as a ghost/spectator and see anything you like in the past/present/future. You can also change your appearance, some people don’t even take on a human form, they might appear as just a small ball of light. There is also supposed to be levels to the heaven, or rather “astral planes”, so the lower or more negative beings end up closer to the physical reality and unable to use these more psychic powers, while the higher or more positive beings end up in the higher vibratorial levels where their consciousness affects reality at a greater level, however because the higher level is further away from the physical, what manifests there exists within the consciousness itself and not on the actual plane of existence.

Wow, I kind of want to die. Just to see.

dear mr. eonnnnnnn and on and on and on,

cool thoughts and thanks for sharing.

i have this LD, “infini-trench” in my DJ. Check it. i feel it’s got a lot to do with what you’re saying at the end of this post, and i’d love to hear comments from a wise dude like yourself.

i used to be more concerned with the afterlife, but i actually have been spending my time actively deprogramming myself from a lot of the catholic beliefs i grew up with, so now i find i don’t really care because i’ve cleared away a lot of the illusion of punishment and guilt, etc. nowadays more and more i just enjoy having fun in infinite FUN space with like souls.

peace.

Hey Kindergarten

sounds like a very cool dream! to me it sounded like god at the beginning of time creating the universe. You experienced what it was like to be god and create something out of nothing. I can’t remember where the quote is from but it goes something like “the universe was created with one word from the voice of god”. This could definately be what its like in the afterlife… you could just find yourself in this void of nothingness where your free to create whatever you like just by thinking about it.

It could have been that this was some sort of supernatural dream or something very perculiar where you have recalled the very first memory of god himself, or it could just be that you were in a blank dreamspace, and you willed a dream and dream scenary to appear. Take your pick… personally i like the first one better

:cool_laugh: man, talk about thinking outside the box and a little beyond…

thanks for the feedback! may i post your thoughts in my DJ?

i’m motivated to read Genesis now! i’ve got some friends that
see the bible in a totally unconventional way, like an esoteric/gnostic instruction manual, but i couldn’t really get into their interpretation. now i can look at it through the lens of my personal experience and start playing with my imagination. i’ll let you know how it goes and hopefully I do some LDing to gain more depth of insight.

btw know any cool or out there versions of the bible?

-a rose from your nose

I find the idea of afterlife being like a shared dream interesting. My idea of an ideal heaven would be different from my friends and family but I would still want to see them.

Wondering into another persons heaven or going into someone’s hell to try and help them out of it.

yeah feel free to post my response in your DJ and send me a PM whenever you like, i would like to hear more about that interpretation. I am not a big fan of the bible, but i am definately interested in anything esoteric. In the movie Zeitgeist, they say almost all the bible is symbolic of astrological events. For example the virgin mary is the star sign Virgo (its symbolic representation looks like the letter M), the 3 kings is the 3 stars of Orion’s belt (which is also known as the 3 kings), the bright star in the east is the brightest star in the sky known as Sirius, the 12 disciples are the 12 star signs, etc, etc. And a lot of what Jesus said, could indeed be considered esoteric teachings as they are very wise remarks that apply to everything.

I’ve heard that heaven is what you make it, so if you believe nothing will happen and you will become nothingness, then so it shall be, if you believe you will goto hell, then so it shall be, if you believe it is like a shared lucid dream, then so it shall be

hello Eonnnius,

your post is still provoking me to remember some cool information…

I do light trance meditation to actively look at past lives and birth agreements with my parents before i incarnated this lifetime. I see that i did choose what i wanted to be, where and who i wanted to be with. It’s kinda scary because i look at my family and i go what the hell was i thinking?! But i also see it has a lot to do with karma, which is a reality for me in the sense that people exchange energy; if they exchange too much and don’t give back what they took or take back what they gave, they get stuck together. So i chose this lifetime to get unstuck from a funky family. i’m still working on it!

I wish there was some other way to get to Earth (like Starman! cool movie with Jeff Bridges), but it takes two if you know what i mean, and i guess if you’re lucky you end up in some kind of family to be taken care of and raised till you can make it on your own. Anyway, i do believe in a pre-birth realm one arrives to from a post life realm and then reviews what happened and decides where to go to learn more and evolve. i think having a body is fun, why not do it a bunch of times? There’s actually a book that was removed from the bible that was all about reincarnation. i’ll be doing more research on this…

In taoist mythology there’s this idea of the Red Baby. It’s basically a perfect human being created by the One being, blessed with magical abilities and immortality. It’s born straight from the ether already knowing everything, and apparently walked the earth without fear or causing havoc; in perfect balance with everything around it. However, it decided to end its life cycle because it was too perfect. It got bored because there were no challenges to it’s existence. Howzabout that?

-makes my mouth woah-ta!

never heard about that red baby sounds interesting.

I payed for a healing one time not that long ago… it was this crystal healing done by a psychic who had these crystals which were level 7 attunement (whatever that means). The session went for about an hour and i was in a very deep meditative state the whole time, sitting right on the edge of the border between awake and sleep. I kept remembering past events in my life where i was quite happy, one memory was of me playing fetch with my dog and it was almost like a dream, my arm almost moved when thinking about throwing the ball. At the end of the session the psychic told me she was clearing me of my past and removing bad karma, she told me she saw what i was in all my past lives and that she removed a negative alien entity that was still attached to me. The funny thing was that i kept having these bad nightmares about aliens in my room, and after the day i had that healing i haven’t had an alien dream since.

I am a big believer in karma, i see it all the time not just with me but with others too, some times it can be quite funny because it happens straight after the deed. For example, my girlfriend would laugh at someones misfortune, and then a second later she spills her drink on herself… its like instant karma hehe
I haven’t had anything bad happen to me in a long time because im always working towards having good karma points by just helping others out where-ever i have the chance.

I really don’t want to re-incarnate when i die, I would much prefer to stay in the afterlife, i would hate it very much if re-incarnation is a mandatory thing that happens as soon as you die, that would really suck. I don’t remember any of my past lives however i do remember the point where i became an individual soul. I remember being a particle of energy amongst a field of these same particles, we were like god, we knew everything and we would just sit there in our space vibrating and resonating to our own humbleness, we didn’t think or do we just sat there being whole. And it was like I was one particle yet all the particles at the same time, it also felt like i couldn’t exist without the other particles and they couldn’t exist without me. We were all interconnected. It was also very different from the usual 5 senses we have, it was more like having just 1 sense and that is sense itself, its like all the senses wrapped into one and i could sense the other particles around me like being able to sense someone nearby without them touching you. I knew absolutely everything there was to know, and because of this I didn’t need to think about anything so i would just sit there resonating with my humbleness. So anyway, I’m sitting there being a particle of energy amongst a giant mass (most likely infinite mass) of particles of energy, just resonating with my own self-satisfaction and humbleness, then all of a sudden i have a thought and bang, i’m cut off from all that is and put here in this reality. I’m not quite sure what the thought was, most likely something along the lines of “i wonder what its like to be able to create”.
